But I have one for Harvard in 4 days, and I don't know how to prepare. Also, she told me to wear whatever I wanted, jeans were okay etc., but should I still dress up and look professional? Or should I really just go in jeans and a t-shirt?

Well, just in general, what is it like? I've only had one so far for USC, and I already kind of knew my interviewer, so it wasn't very high pressure...

Personally, I would prepare by dressing professionally and by reading some of the information about Harvard from its website. They also will probably ask you about your goals and career plans so you might want to think about that too. Good luck!

I think semi-causal is the way to go.
maybe a khaki skirt and a nice top (fitted shirt?) or a nice blazer/jacket with some slacks/jeans.
i think girls could pass with jeans although guys probably can't..
Just be yourself.
Everyone I know who was who they were had EXTREMELY well interviews.
The people who planned out what they were going to say...didn't do that well.
Don't be nervous!
Just be excited and sell yourself!
good luck!
and i heard most harvard interviews are 1hour-1.5hours (from my friends' experiences)

My interviews have been really low-stress. Just be yourself and act like you're talking to any other adult - but keeping in mind you have to show you're mature and intelligent. My Harvard interview was a bit over an hour.
As for dress, don't wear a suit, but even if your interviewer keeps saying casual, try to dress somewhat nicely. Like khakis/nice jeans and a sweater or polo. It still makes a better first impression than say, faded jeans and a t-shirt.

all of my interviews were either casual or semi-casual. they're not so bad once you start talking. my longest interview was about an hour, but it goes by fast.

from what i remembered when i went to interviews i went business casual. Last maybe 30-45 min for UPENN.
For the most part it becomes more like a conversation than Q&A. Just be yourself, at this point these people have probably done this enough times to know if you're faking anything.

^ They'd know your faking or not. lol.
but wow, 30 minutes is so short. I just had a q&a session with a counselor and wow, it lasted 50 minutes and I thought I just walked in.
talking for an hour doesn't seem that long if you're a talkative person.
