I think everyone has this experience, including myself. The more insecure people are, the more they feel it is necessary to talk about someone else- divert attention from themselves and make others believe hurtful rumors. I used to hate that peoplewould actually BELIEVE these stupid rumors. I'm over it, though. I know who my real friends are and despite what people say, I'll still do what I want and say what I want- so why shouldn't they?

On my account, some guys aren't 'bad boys' the way you are thinking. Sometimes, they seem clean, nice, and couldnt harm a fly. His friends were nice and said good things about him. Then, after a while they turn abusive, or neglectful and after all the thinking, counceling, and talking to others who were there to witness, you decide that you didn't do anything wrong- just the usual light pms when the time comes and sometimes being stubborn but you got a handful of everything wrong in return for just being a person. The same way theres no excuse to being cold and harsh as you say, there is no excuse to backstabbing, lies, cheating, beating, and stalking that went on with some girls. * ahem.

She meant you can't just base things on appearances and how they may appear. Alot of bad boys are actually really soft and sensitive inside, they just put up the 'don't give a sht' attitude as a shield to protect themselves. Same goes with some guys that may appear sweet and caring, who turn out to be huge jerks after you get together with them.

Thats not true. Don't just label them as bad boys and druggies. I'm pretty sure nice guys have dumped a girl, probably just because they no longer have a special feeling for them. Getting heartbroken isn't only caused by bad boys and druggies.

no, what I said was that regardless of whether or not someone looks, acts, or IS a 'bad boy' there is NO EXCUSE to being a backstabbing, cheating, abusive person.

I've learned not to let rumors get to me ;
One time in Jr. High this girl spread a rumor that I was a lesbian, and had it with like 3 girls or something.
Truth be told my friends came running to me and told me about it, and even told me the girl, and tbh I'VE NEVER said two words to the girl, and I don't even know her...so I don't know why she suddenly felt she had to do that.

Rumors are evil, and a low blow to people. But what can you do?
It did hurt at first 'cause I was afraid my friends would leave me, but you know what?
They came to me and told me, and believed in me ^-^
And that girl ended up with no friends o_o; for those years of jr high.

There's always going to be a rumor about yourself, I just gave up caring...
Maybe that's why it doesn't hurt as much for me anymore.
And I also trust my friends&boyfriend will be smart enough not to believe everything they hear, unless its coming from me :x
Just as I'd do the same for them.
