Pectus Excavatum is basically a condition in which the centre of the chest goes down into a deep valley, giving it a caved in/hollow look.

The ribs may also flare out at the bottom.

I only found out it was a medical condition a couple of days ago when I was looking up Oguri Shun on Wikipedia and it mentioned that he had a hollow chest. The moment I read it, I thought "Damn, that must be what I have!"

I did an internet search and found an online community for people with this condition:
http://www.pectusinfo.com/board/index.php

So, I was wondering, does anyone here think they may have pectus excavatum?
Because up until a couple of days ago, I certainly thought I was the only one. And it's been a huge relief to realise that I'm not.

I don't have it, but my friend has it. He has a titanium bar in his chest now. Of course, his was severe.

I personally don't have it. However, i've read about many
people who have it on fitness/bodybuilding forums. It's not super uncommon.
Nothing to freak out about unless it's very severe. If it was that severe, i'm sure
your physician would have done something about it or at least talked to you about it.

My boyfriend has that. I'm not sure if he knows what it is though, he just tells me its just a dent.
I know its a deformity, but is there any medical problems that associates with this condition? I would like to know..
