An XS kit with 18-55mm IS kit lens and 75-300mm III Len for $540.

Without the 75-300 mm lens it would be 470.

Yeah, its pretty good! On black friday that kit was $500 without that extra 75-300 lens, and it typically goes for about $100 more. So I think its a very good deal. I don't think that extra lens is too useful, but it doesn't hurt to have.

Make sure you check resellerratings and stuff to make sure the store (if its online) is legit though.

2 questions:

1. is the 75-300 mm one really not worth it?

2. amazon has d40 kit for $410 right now. i like the xs cuz of the extra focus points and live view, along with it having longer battery life. do you think that its worth shelling out 60 more bux for the xs?
