they're basically the same thing.
they're for students who are going to become the first in their family to go to a 4 yr college.
i'm joined this year as a junior and i have to say, it's pretty helpful o-o
i'm not gonna lie: at first, i always thought those classes were for really stupid people who needed extra help.. but it's really not. there are so crazy smart students in my class. ..but then there are also so way too stupid ones >-<;
my parents did go to university, but in another country, so that doesn't technically count lol. but avid/fos helps you with sat prep, college apps, studying, test prep, hw, anything that will bring you a step closer in a 4 yr college
