hello~~
so i've been working out consistently (cardio and weights). i've noticed my arms getting toned but i also noticed my shoulders getting bigger
i already have broad shoulders and i don't need them any bigger. for weights i do the... i don't know what to call it. like i raise my arms so i form a t shape and then bring them down to my sides. maybe i'm doing it wrong? is there other moves i could do that would work my arms but not my shoulders?

lol sounds like you're doing lateral raises. What are you trying to tone?
The biceps/triceps? How many reps have you been doing? btw i'm a guy lol.

As I said before

The "arms" have many muscle groups. Also like I said before it sounds like you're only
doing one exercise, the lateral raise and that is mainly to work the delts. You should probably
lay off that or increase the rep range and add in some bi/tri exercises to tone those us.
Provided you work in the 15+ rep range it shouldn't really be getting much size.

I think the exercise that you described targets the shoulder muscles... if you are trying to tone your arms, you should be targeting your biceps and triceps... exercises like bicep curls, etc. go google search them... i'm sure there's a lot of resources online for bicep/tricep weight exercises.
Hmm.

Forming the t shape with weights is called an upright row i believe and that targets the back and shoulder muscles...
As previous posters have said before to tone your arms doing low weight high reps of tricep extensions... bicep curls etc...

Most asian girls need to work on their fat %, legs, butt, calves, and back ~
Focus on your lower body for looks and fat loss and pulldowns paired with just lat raises and if you want to work biceps triceps stick to reps of 12-15 that is challenging..
The key point is nutrition and bodyfat ~ check your bodyfat first. Worry about the rest later..
If you are genetically predisposed toward arm size and shape ~ then focus elsewhere.. As mentioned your butt legs and calves ~
You can also work the flat bench/db and incline brench/db ~ girls should not focus on dips or decline presses of any sort.
