I have to say that Younha, K. Will, T-Max, Outsider, FT Island and Super Junior are really underrated.

Younha: She's hella talented; great voice, rocking piano skills, adorable personality, need I say more?

K. Will: Great singer, and he can rap. Did You see his performance with Outsider?

T-Max: Sure, they're gaining popularity because of Kim Joon's role in BOF, but, not enough for their great talents!

Outsider: Fastest rapper ever! Really talented. Very sweet too, did you see the episode he was in Star King?

FT Island: They're young, can play their own instruments (for those who say that they can't), their lead vocalist is AMAZING (and the rest of them aren't that bad either). Yes, they have a large fanbase, but not enough for how much talent they have.

Super Junior: Sure, they're popular, but not for the right reasons. They have the looks but many believe that they don't have the talent to back it up. These 13 boys ARE talented and hella funny to watch on variety shows too. Believe it or not, these boys CAN sing and dance. Don't say that they're not talented artists, because you're wrong.

-Battle is awesome, and they really have talent. in all there songs

sorry but i think they could be a really really good idol group
and their slow song .... it is WONDERFUL...

- I just found out about smash recently and I love their songs
emergency and never ending story. there cute and definitely need more
attention

- Ast1 .. need more promotions. but they are great toooo in singing and all

I think that Supernova and Battle are pretty underrated. it's probably because they don't get enough promotion.

im actually surprised by some people responses. imo some of the artists mentioned in previous posts arent underrated at all, its just that they arent active currently, so they arent getting much attention or promo.i think on soompi and other kpop websites only the idol groups get the most spotlight since, well they are idols, and tons of users on soompi are teens [including me] and tweens who are mostly interested in idols. so for international fans who rely on websites and forums to get our kpop fix, the majority of artists with the most popularity are the idol groups.

Sadly Younha is STILL underrated ... posts dating back a year said this and nothing's changed.

IU - she's on a lot of shows doing her acoustic stuff but she doesn't seem to have the type of following she should. She's a true musician, good vocals and quite a composer (instrumentally and melodically).

Basically anyone not in the K-pop genre... or who doesn't fit all k-pop criteria...

Someone mentioned Loveholic but when they were Loveholic(s) they were quite popular right?
Now they no longer have Ji Sun (or any lead singer) so they aren't really doing anything at the moment...

The Grace - amazing amazing talent!

WinterPlay - probably one the biggest talents in korean music...guess it's not pop though

Iu - she has such a nice voice singing acoustic that stands out when you compare her to single members of
the popular girl groups.
Younha - Her voice is awesome, nuff' said. She deserves to be honed for her great skills.
