CSJH the Grace, DNT, U-KISS, Outsider, E.Via, 2AM, 8Eight, AST'1, IU, Zhang LiYin, May Doni, K.Will, Navi, Battle, XING Opera, Untouchable, Ajoo, SMASH (i'll actually be suprised if anyone knows who they are)

and that's just to name a few.

But for most of them, their problem is lack of promotions. Not saying that would solve everything, but it would gain a few more fans.

I wouldn't call FT Island an underrated artist though. They have a decent following, and have been gaining much more attention lately. Although i do wish they were more popular >.<

im actually surprised by some people responses. imo some of the artists mentioned in previous posts arent underrated at all, its just that they arent active currently, so they arent getting much attention or promo.i think on soompi and other kpop websites only the idol groups get the most spotlight since, well they are idols, and tons of users on soompi are teens [including me] and tweens who are mostly interested in idols. so for international fans who rely on websites and forums to get our kpop fix, the majority of artists with the most popularity are the idol groups.

2AM seems to be mentioned a lot and I definitely agree. I'm not saying that their members aren't goodlooking, but they're definitely not the type of group that would capture a teen girl's eye right from the start. It's really unfortunate though, because they all sing very, very well.

CSJH also do not receive the attention that they deserve. In terms of talent, they definitely sing better than most popular girl groups nowadays (e.g. Wonder Girls, SNSD, Kara).

Of course, I would know who SMASH is...Tony An's group ^^.
Anyway, I do like SMASH..although, I think HanBang & World are the ones with the true talents and should be recognized for. HanBang, he has such amazing vocals, good looks, a somewhat mysterious personality..I'm surprised he's not more popular. World, great stage presences and has a lot of charisma. His singing is very soothing to listen to..and of course, he also looks good too and is hilarious. I have trouble choosing my favorite between the two. ^^

IMO, Zhang Li Yin, all the way. Now here is a girl with all the talent in the world and but no where to show it besides measly little performances that anyone who isn't a fan wouldn't care to look upon. She sings her heart out and yet I feel like she definitely does not get the attention she deserves. She is overshadowed by the people around her *cough cough* and her company is doing on sh*t of a job promoting her. She's been on hiatus for god knows how long and after her 15 minutes in Korea, she gets dumped in China (not that I'm complaining, she was fabulous in China) without any official schedule besides a few performances here and there. And yet, she doesn't complain, she just continue doing what she does with all her heart. This girl has one hell of a voice that sings with one hell of a heart, and yet, why aren't more people noticing her? Truly, as a fan, it sucks seeing someone you adore and admire being underrated and under promoted for such a GD long time. It's frustrating to wait and hope and wait and hope until you're not even sure what you're waiting and hoping for. =/ All her fans are waiting for her comeback album (or even a song) and the one chance we get to see her perform is gone due to issues with the company (but I hope for the best for DBSK) I think SME does one hell of a job promoting the more popular artist, but when they are given raw, real talent (like CSJH and ZLY) they just throw them at the side and let them be. =/

Maydoni. She has the voice and moves. CSJH, 2AM, Jang Ri In and the new group t-ara. There's a lot of singers with talent that is really underrated. Most of the popular stuff are things that are catchy now a days. But I think the groups I mentioned above aren't just promoted enough.

Jang Ri In - Great voice, very talented, pretty. Can totally make it BIG but blame SM for not (propertly) promoting enough.
CSJH - Talented, and pretty. Same situtation with Jang Ri In.
2AM - Somehow people tends to pay more attention to 2PM. PLUS a lack of promotion.

There have been so many already mentioned and I completely agree. The ones that come to my mind would be 2am, Sunny Hill, SMASH, and A'st1. I'm sure that I'm forgetting some but those are the ones that I really think are underrated. Seriously. I love listening to them, they have such great voices. JMHO. hehehe.

a somewhat groan-inducing suggestion, but...DBSK? even though they're a hit all over asia and they have the largest (and most terrifying O_O) fanclub on earth and et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...i gotta say that what really draws me to them is that i've never encountered another vocal group in which each member has such a distinct and unique voice, and yet, when those voices are combined, create such harmony and blend. honestly speaking, i can't decide who is the best vocalist in the group just because the voices are so different, so it's impossible to judge them all on the same scale. but the fact that they can do a cappella--something that requires a significant of vocal blend--pretty much flawlessly...and then they can turn around and do amazing solo work....that's kind of amazing. these guys have a level of talent that is beyond what can be trained...the combination of these five voices is really heaven sent.

but on the non-fangirly side....has anyone heard of the black skirts? from what i can see, there's not a lot of stuff on them in english on the internet...but i got their first album a while back and it is pretty amazing.

Xing/Xing Opera = very underrated.
Seriously, all of the members are sooooo talented.
They are all great singers or rappers or dancers, and have adorable personalities.
I also really love all of their songs, so I'm a bit confused as to why they don't seem to have a huge fanbase.
Watching their performances, I'm always so amazed because it sounds just like the original track.
I also think they're all really cute ^.^ So really, I'm just trying to find something bad about them LOL.
I just really wish that more people would know about them and give them a chance. Videos? Okay !
