No idea how itunes on apple works, but you should be able to use your current collection of MP3s. You can always put your music on a USB drive, burn the music to DVDs, and I assume apples can use windows share but most likely USB or burned on DVDs will be easiest to work with.

If you're not sure where your music is stored, just right click a song > get info... and you should be able to see where your files are stored.

I use the windows music folder for my music... for apple I have no idea but it should work fine after you copy it into the computer and add it to the itunes.

Easy solution:
When you plug your ipod into your pc it should be showing up on your hard drives, when you open "My Computer" when your ipod is plugged in you should be able to see your ipod pop up on a drive. With all your music on your ipod all you need to do is double click into the driver that's holding your ipod, find your music files and copy them to your desktop, or a new folder, then from there you just have to add them to your library.

- This doesn't work with the iPhone or Itouch since they don't appear hd when plugged in
