oh darn i just noticed i posted this in tech.
i'm so sorry, i think this should be in cell phones... sorry mods, please move it!

last nite i had a fight with my bf on my cell phone, i was crying (a lot) and i guess some of tears (water?!) seeped into the screen?

but this has happened before (me crying onto my cell phone) and nothing has ever happened to it.

this time tho, the screen is all messed up. half of it is like the "noise" thing, while the other half is what my screen should look like but halfway up and repeated a lot of times O_O

i can make calls just fine, but i can't see anything properly when i press any buttons, eg: when i'm trying to dial a number.

so my question is, can the screen be fixed? will my fone ever be normal again? is it a matter of "letting it dry" or do i have to take it to a cell phone place to fix it?

my fone is the samsung sgh f250, and my bf got it for me from hk... he didn't buy it here in toronto.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

first, sorry to hear your boyfriend made you cry.
second, i'd wait a day or so; maybe take apart what you can (battery cover, etc) and let it air dry. if that doesn't help, you might need to get the ribbon replaced. you mentioned you're in toronto - i think finding a phone repair shop shouldn't be too hard (try pacific mall).
hope all goes well.

Immediately open out all the components of the phone.
(Battery, cover)

Try to get out the front as well if possible (the cover).
Soak the phone in rice overnight.

"Noise" thing?

I think this is the same thing that happened to my phone.
Like, I'm still using my phone right now but the screen is all messed up.
and sometimes, it turns all white. O_O
but then it comes back a few minutes later. D:

I don't know how to fix it.

but I've dropped my phone SO MANY TIMES.
and I've gotten the screen wet a million times too.

I really don't want to get a new phone cause I love mine.
I have a Softbank 707SCII.

Maybe I'll try Pacific Mall like High Kick said.

I thought the idea was incredulous but this what I found:
http://lifehacker.com/software/macgyver-ti...rice-269427.php

The rice will absorb the water which is why you can stick grains of rice in salt or sugar so they don't get clumped together
