I will probably be graduating in 5 years if I'm lucky. I'm on exchange for this SY so after I get back I'm going to have to work my ass off to graduate =/
I've been taking light course loads since I started college (13-14 credits a semester) which is probably why I'm slightly behind. I hadn't even started any of my major courses till right before my junior year.

so don't feel bad
i've had lots of classmates who was at their third year or almost graduated
they had to repeat first year because of some issues
just remember, it doesn't matter how long it would take .. just as long as you get there

I am still in Community College wanting to transfer though it is going
to take me 5 or 5 1/2 years to graduate.
I guess all that matters is that I do graduate

i keep on moving schools as well. my parents worry that i may not finish school
within the timeframe they set up for me. but my grandparents say that as long as i finish
it doesn't matter how long it takes. after all, it gives me more training on what not to do when things happen.

It's normal to take 5 years....for some 6. there's no big rush anyway. Do it in your own time and screw everyone else. it's not THEIR education and future.

College isn't about how fast you graduate from it rather it's the experience and preparing yourself for the next stage in your life.
Besides, some majors require more years than others so in reality, not everyone will graduate within four years.
And it has been reported that those who change their major aren't likely to graduate within four years and those numbers are rising rapidly due to students changing their major on average is rising.
I think you should relax and just enjoy the college experience -- it's only fair.
On the ninth day, God created the Seattleite..
And on the tenth day, God saw all that he had created and it was very good -- so he finally rested.

That is true. To an extent.
People that get (large amounts) in loans are probably going to cry if they graduate in like, a long time.
Plus the fact that some families struggle just to put their kid through school, so you don't want to lag too much.

not true. The average honours program is designed so that if you take a 100% course load every year for four years, you'll get enough credits to graduate. That's why sometimes you'll see them referred to as 4-year programs. Co-op is usually a 5-year program, isn't it? to account for the co-op requirements.
Anyway, while I think that most people graduate within 4 years, I also know TONS of people who aren't going to finish in four years, for many different reasons. It's not really a big deal. I mean, five or ten years down the road, who really cares as long as you have that degree?
