Being A Stripper What are your views?

What's so wrong about being a stripper? Is it really that sinful or immoral? So you're exposing your body to people for money...but is that any worse than being a celebrity and shooting nude scenes on tv? How come people don't find that wrong, but they look down on strippers?
What if I were to become a stripper later on? Is it such a bad idea if I'm rolling in thousands of dollars a week?

Lap. Just lap, not laptop.
When I read laptop dance I was like "...naked laptop dance? Why would you want to dance on your laptop naked?"
But my perspective on it? Let them do what they like. *Shrug*
It's not like they're hookers or anything (close, but still not the same thing).
They're not selling sex or their body, really... they're just making people pay to watch them strip and dance.

But anyhow, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's just an occupation that shows a bit more flesh. They just have worse names than celebrities who some pretty much do the same thing.

lol laptop dance. A tech nerd would probably find it a turn on, grinding my muscle machine.
Yes, people pay to watch them. That's one form of power women have over men, and something women (almost) always had over men.

Isn't it up to the girl who deserves to see her naked?

Oh, you got me there.
It's up to the girl, but I have some opinion when it comes to friends. That's the only difference in this scenario.

Lol naked laptop dance. Made me lol every time it came up in the thread.
Strippers do their thing to pay the bills, make money.
I don't think it's such a heinous act.
Actually I'm in awe of how strippers can keep their job, it's quite stressful for them.
-Drinking alcoholic drinks all the time that the customers buy for them. That can't be healthy. I know some strippers pay bartenders to water their drinks down.
-Strippers have to pay "rent" in the club they are stripping in, and not very good hourly pay. If you wanna make money, then you have to have your faithful customers who only want to see you.
-Those catty girls; competitiveness.
Strippers make a lot of money because they really have to work hard. If you think that's the right path for you, go ahead lol

Anyway, don't some of the strippers actually like stripping? I mean, I'm sure not all of them are like 'forced' to work at strip clubs. Some people are exhibitionists and like showing off their bodies - I don't see anything wrong with them making money off of something they like doing.

But in my opinion I'd do this also if she said she wanted to... for example, take the night shift at the morgue.
It's one thing to be concerned but I don't think there's anything excessively wrong with the profession in general.

Who said there was something wrong with it?
I don't believe in the concept of "sin", so no.
Actually those are two very different things; an actor is acting out a part with nudity (which does not necessarily have sexual overtones (ie. getting dressed, showering)) whereas a stripper is removing his/her clothes for pure sexual enjoyment. Granted, they do it both for an audience and are paid for it.
Basically for the reason I said last. Nudity does not always imply sex and actors are seen as having a real talent in a very competitive industry. Also, women are way more jealous of strippers than actors because they see them as someone who could steal their man. Since men can easily interact with strippers up close but that is not the case with famous actresses.
You might be cast out by your friends and family if they are uptight and it may be hard for you to get a boyfriend. It's not a bad idea as long as you don't put yourself in harm's way. There's a lot of seedy things that go on in that industry.
Your comparison of strippers to actors is like comparing strippers to nude art models. Yes, they are both naked and paid for being that way but they serve completely different purposes.

Being a stripper is far better than being a prostitute. And there are even strip clubs where each stripper owns a share of the club, so that they are actually benefiting 100% from their work. In many ways, that's empowering for a female.

Are they really that ugly and gross?
To be serious, as a guy I don't mind strippers, but I wouldn't want my girl to be one either.

You're exposing your body to COMPLETE strangers, do you really want to give a naked laptop dance to a I guess, seedy/gross men?

LMAO! that cracked me up. Laptop dance. xDDD
If I was a guy, I wouldn't want a girl who was a stripper.
I guess, I just view it as disrespecting your body that your parents gave you.
I know I would not want my parents knowing I was stripping for money, that is, if I was one lol.
