and tuition for school has gone up and by the beginning of next semester I will be broke or in the hole. Lately it has been pretty boring. I can't afford to do much and don't feel like driving anywhere to save gas. Pretty much all I've been doing is the essentials and, other than that, sitting on my butt playing Xbox Live (my 1 month free subscription is about to end too sad.gif ) or watching TV laugh.gif. How are you guys faring?

BTW, any gamers wanna help me out?? biggrin.gif
I won't bother since I won't read the rules and they won't accommodate.

The recession hit me hard when the Korean won practically crumbled -- I get money for school from my dad in Korea so it sucks that the won is becoming worthless (it did recently go up a little though but it's still way lower than before). It'd be a good thing for me if I made money here and took it to Korea, but I don't work (yet).

I don't buy from overseas online stores that often these days due to our dwindling dollar.

But I shouldn't complain because when our dollar was at its peak and almost close to the same worth as the US dollar, it didn't honestly represent the worth. As in reality, it should only be worth around 65 US cents. It was fun whilst it lasted.

At least everyone in the world has been brought down back to earth and things are worth what they should be.

I don't buy anything because I live in a hermitage on a cloudy mountain. To recruit me into the 108 stars of destiny, have Jeane in your party and bring me a ruby and a pineapple.

yeah...it's been pretty rough here at work...our organization brings kids over from Korea to study and have homestays here.....i think our student numbers are gonna be down this semester and next year because of the won/dollar exchange rate.

but personally, shopping for stuff online in korea is a pretty good deal right now....

I'm a bit worried since my mom's job is really slow now. I'm in the process of looking for a job, too.

The dollar has been sanking awhile back. I still have some savings left in the US, but it'll be a waste to change into euros.

everytime i go shopping, I always ask myself "do I really need this? can I do without it?" and then usually end up spending a lot less..

and I try getting the best deals for everything.. ugh.

I'm still employ with a good salary.
However, I'm eating the free food provided by the company to save money.

Xbox Live is fun and all, but if you're broke or struggling, that Xbox should be shoved under the bed.

I'm pretty lucky. I got a raise just two weeks ago, though my salary still isn't fantastic. It's good.. and I'm happy about it, but dang, when my (and this is arrogant to say) dumb college classmates went off and made buttloads of more money when I was the one working my butt off, it irks me the wrong way.

It is also unfortunate that my friend got into a really big company and is trying to get me in, but the company went into a hiring freeze. So, the recession has hit me.. just in a much different way.

Um... shouldn't this be common sense?

Even in good economic times, isn't it still good to practice fiscal responsibility?

*ugh* Don't even go there. I've found that since going to slickdeals I've been spending *more*. Something would be on sale, that I wasn't planning to buy but for so cheap my female mentality kicks in "Oh, but it's soooo cheap..maybe i'll need it for something..sometime..."

I'm starting to rediscover my love of reading. Entertaining *and* cheap ^^ Making me more worried about life after college in May though... unsure.gif

suprisingly, with all the people getting laid off and losing their benefits, my office has been busier than ever! most of it is due to people wanting to use their benefits before they're gone. that or my coworkers are just friggin lazy!

actually, we did see a slow in people deciding to get dental work done the same day. Nobody wants to pay for dental work anymore.... but recently it's picked up! like REALLY picked up. also, i hate to say it.... but the really now housing market is low enough to fit my budget. it's sad that a lot of people were forclosed on.... but man! i wanna buy me a house!

lol! i totally know what you mean. but why do i feel like things are only going to get worse?

Why can't you be . . . the part of me that's missing?
Instead of leaving me for some other.
Say we're perfect for each other . . .
