I have about $10k in debt between my brother and I. I tried to apply at Wells Fargo for a loan but was rejected since I only have two lines of credit and my brother has 7 but they are all maxed and some are late. I am working overtime at work but only can squeeze in 10-15hrs at $25/hr and that usually goes towards other expenses.
Anyone know any places that have pretty low interest loans for those that do not have credit history? I am looking to get a $4k-$10k loan under 20% if possible. I was thinking of consolidating through the bank but I heard that can look bad on your credit score. I just need to pay off a $3000 loan which my bro got from a loan shark which has an extremely high interest rate. If I could get at least half of the lines on both of our credit I could refinance and pay less for my car ($520/month) and house ($1000/month).

When I read low interest, I thought you meant under 5%. But if your range is 20% then you have more options. Collateralized loans are almost always <20% interest, so if you can refi your car or house then try that.
Credit scores care about utilization and total high credit. I have not heard of consolidating lines hurting one's credit.
Don't go to no-name places. If they have low interest, it's probably offset with high fees.
