How old are you anyways? I thought you just said you're the only Asian family there. So where did these other Asians come from?
The background info is a little vague to answer the question... I don't really understand what you mean by the 13-16 year olds flocking around you. Are they attracted to you..?

I'm 19. I live about an hour south of houston, but I head up there every once in a while.
the only other group of asians I felt that I fit into besides family was the group of international students I met last year at UT:SA, but I don't speak Japanese : /

well it's not like I dislike an individual. I just dislike the whole idea of being cliquish and all. I've hung out with one, everyone is just deciding what the leader decides is a good idea. they're all sheep.

You are correct. You didn't dislike one individual, but you dislike a GROUP of people.

They can go bankai at any second.
Oh ya, and if you act or dress rather questionably, they'll stare you down like no tomorrow. Then they'll laugh about it back at home for days on end when they gather to play some mahjong. Life will be a living hell.

I don't dress weirdly, it's just not the norm for other asians I guess.

Cause over here, I'm surrounded by international students, some that attended international schools, some didn't. So it's not unrealistic that they'd stick together.
I think you call them fob? So I will use terms you're familiar with. Terms such as "fob style" and "fob music" and "fob language" are the norm, and if you're not "fob" enough, they'll think you're weird. Like "what a disgrace" weird.
If you're talking about all those white-wash "azns" that think sticking together with fellow comrades eating pocky, drinking bubble tea and listening to got rice makes them more "azn," then I don't know. I always thought "azns" were retarded.

ah I see what you mean you must've hung out with those AZN people, you know those immature group that thinks they're all cool...i'll stop...it's just rant now...
but not all of us are like that since when me and my friends usually hand out we don't always do what one person wants to do unless no one else has nothing else to do...just trying to say that not all groups are cliquish and stuff
anyways if you ever stop by houston i'll make sure to give u an awkward stare! I'll just go by this description here:

most international students I met in San Antonio were cool, it's just the "azns" that like to hang out inside the mall, talking broken Chinese or Vietnamese
but not all of us are like that since when me and my friends usually hand out we don't always do what one person wants to do unless no one else has nothing else to do...just trying to say that not all groups are cliquish and stuff

word, I get what you're saying, but the majority are.

No, they fail completely.
International students actually act normal and don't need to prove that they're "asian" to all their white colleagues.

yea, but I think if you stay away from groups that have spikey hair, skinny white muscle shirt wearing asian guys, and TAB girls you should be fine
you're mainly talking about the groups you see in hong kong 4 right?
