Hi! I'm currently getting a cellphone for Xmas and I've asked around about it, but I finally decided that I need Soompi's input as well

Is the Sony Ericsson s500i a good choice?
My price range is 200$ give or take a few...so yah.

And I'm not quite sure what SIM card to get...in fact, I don't know much about them. The cellphone I'm thinking to get it at Pmall (in Toronto) in cash coz it'll be tax free XD

As for the camera, I already have it. But I was wondering if it was a good one to have bought? Sony Cybershot W170. When did it come out? How is it in comparison to the other Sony Cybershots? Apparently, according to their website they have H, T, W, and S series.

my friend has a Sony s500i...green.
it's nice so it seems.

As for the camera, I would have preferred a touch.

imo, i think the s500i is a bit outdated. i much prefer the "W' series like the w580 over the s500i. but i guess it depends on you & how you use your cell phones. i'm not sure but maybe you could haggle your way in getting a 3.2mp sony ericsson for around $200

I would say get a W910i. I got it locked with optus. Im in australia. 200 AUD. I got it unlocked though. If you add 80 dollar credit you get it unlocked + 80 dollar credit
