what was the worst christmas gift u ever got? i know theres a thread on the best present so now lets switch over to the worst. i know ppl say oh it doesnt matter about the gift but the intention of giving but sometimes people give the most weird and cheap presents. In my case: 3 years ago I got a box of European cookies from my aunt. And its not like she was cheap, shes loaded but all she gives me is cookies? at least $$. When i first saw the gift im like is she tryin to fatten me up dry.gif and i could have thought of a better gift to give & i was in a bad mood @ that time that i left it @ her house on PURPOSE laugh.gif .
so share the worst presents u recieved?
who was it from?
how did u react?
when you got it(year?)
& did u use the present afterwards ?

& i can relate to the movie the Christmas Story where Ralphie got a bunnie suit from his aunt

if theres an existing thread already then delete!

you may have disliked the gift, but to purposely leave it in her house? now that's just plain rude.

I decided to bake my friends cookie for christmas, am I stupid now? If they don't like it the least they can do is take it with them. If they left it with me I would of pinkberry slap them.

yeah, agreed.

no offence, but isn't christmas about spreading joy? not complaining about what you got as a present. o_e if you didn't like your present, well thats fine, but no need to throw it away like it's trash. i wouldve at least eaten the cookies.

D: once i got a plastic cinderella make-up kit. o_o ah well, they didn't know that i grew out of cinderella.

Iunno, I'd say all the stuff I got from these specific relatives from the past years? I only started actually getting presents and celebrations and stuff for Christmas like.. since 2003 so I wasn't used to the gift-giving thing anyway, but to say.. I think anything someone I don't like gives me, I'd dislike it. Its about who gives it (to me) actually.

And plus, when I get bad presents (extra large and long bath robe that was like.. for super tall people when I was fourteen, and then this jacket that looks like from the 70/80s when they fully know I won't be using it) I just put it away and never touch it again. Its even worse when they ASK me if I like it or not. I hate having to lie.

Best thing = don't give me a present at all, no feeling is better for me than a bad feeling.

Well all the gifts that I have received were from the heart and I just appreciate the fact that they actually gave me something.
idk if I ever disliked anything I got?

I would have to say MONEY.
not that I don't like money, I like money.. who doesn't!?
but my friend forgot to get me a gift when we had this secret santa thing and she just tossed $10
into a little clear zip baggy.. with a poem that didn't make sense at all..
I like gifts from the thoughts... not like money can be happiness..
what's funny is that I heard she wanted to take back the $10 she gave me.. dry.gif
so that's been the worst for me.. oh and it was couple weeks ago

^ I agree. Be grateful you even got a present at all. Isn't it the thought that counts? Stop being so materialistic.

You are so rude.
Did you get her anything?
I suppose she should have just not given you anything at all.
Remember this is a season of giving and sharing. Not recieving.

Sorry, I'm materialistic.

My mind is foggy on this, but I think it was a bookmark. A very heavy bookmark. It was from an acquaintance back in my junior high days. I used it once, but it ripped the page it was marking.

I like cookies. Cookies, fish, any kind of food is a good Christmas present for me. I'm always hungry.

witsups?

Hmm, I don't really mind 'cause it's the thought that counts, as someone above said. xDDD

But someone got my socks one time. >_>;
