I think I saw something about this a while ago, and remembering it made me curious.

Do guys tend to lean more towards girls who wear makeup, or girls who wear none? How do you differentiate between too much, just right, and/or too little makeup? Are certain amounts of makeup attached to specific stereotypes?

I'm not a guy, but I honestly think it just depends on how shallow the guy is. A shallow guy would probably go for a girl who looks pretty with make-up on, but at the same time, that girl could look hideous without make-up. So it just depends on how shallow he is, and whether or not he prefer natural beauty. I would personally rather date a girl for her natural beauty, if I were a guy and is shallow of course.

Oh, I don't wear make-up, but if I ever do, I wouldn't wear too much since I look different with it on. I wouldn't want to deceive my boyfriend and make him scared when I take it off.

i'll just be honest. i like girls that dont wear make up. and if so, then just a little. like a little of that eye stuff perhaps (eyeliner?) and maybe a little bit of the face powder but nothing more.

Guys can only tell two things..You either look nice or you don't.
And frankly, the guys that complain about 'zomfg i hate girls with makeup' dont even know what they're talking about.

I think it's best if you can use makeup in a way that best enhances your natural features. Sometimes people can take makeup too far and they end up looking better without it.

I wonder the same thing. Doesn't the lipstick taste odd, and the foundation and powder feels weird?

mm from the guy i know, they don't mind just like simple make up eg, mascara lipgloss whatever
but it becoesm yuck to them when you have layers and it`s realy obvious and not natural ?

i like it when girls aren't afraid to not wear make-up, like they have enough self esteem to still think there beautiful without it but still uses it ocasionally, i.e (going out on dates, or big fancy occasions) i guess i like when a girl knows when its appropriate to put make up on and when not to

Honestly, who wouldn't? I don't intend to be offending but you need both the appearance AND personality. Oh and everyone is shallow lol and makeup does become a problem when it completely transforms a person. lol (Refer to that how to be an uhljjang thread -- not that tutorial created by a soompier.. there's two of them.)

I know my guy friends doesn't like it when my face look like its caked on with make-up. But other than that, I think just the occasional eyeliner, mascara, & lipgloss won't do any harm. I mean of course I'm not that dependent on make-up, there are days when my face is totally naked and my friends won't even notice, or so they say....

Why don't you just focus on looking good, instead of how many layers of make-up you have on?

I mean, isn't that one of the primary reasons why you even bother spending 20-30 minutes in front of the mirror every morning?
For the record, I don't like clowns.

If a girl looked good naturally, that would be better, cause that means "cosmetics" isn't on my list of expenses if we ever get together.
Also I wouldn't wake up and run away cause she didn't put on make-up for the night.

I'm not a guy, but I have a couples of friends who puts on a lot of makeup EVERYDAY, and whenever I see them without it on, they look really really....different.....like a totally different person.....
