I wasn't a frequent user of my cell phone, so I honestly don't know how long this has been going on.
Recently, I've noticed that when I set my ring tone, it's very loud and I can hear it even on a loud bus. But, when someone really calls me, the ring is so quiet that I barely hear it right now (calling cell from home phone), and I'm in my room with no sound what-so-ever. It's so odd. I've tried different ringtones on my cellphone, and they're ALL like this, whether the midi ones I downloaded, or the ones that came with my phone. Oh, and my ring volume is already at the maximum.

I was sleeping when my dad brought it to the Fido service shop, and he said the dude "fixed it because it was louder", but once I tried it out at home..it was still the same old problem. My dad told me the guy said it's because my ring setting is on some sort of format that "the tone gradually gets louder", but I never set it like that nor does it sound like that. I'll go back to the store myself to get it fixed again, but in the mean time, I hope someone on soompi can help me!

Does anybody know what's wrong? I need to get this fixed ASAP because what's the point of having a cell phone if you can't even hear the darn thing when someone's calling? +_+

...its the same thing with my samsung....the ringtone is loud when u put it in...but u cant hear any of it...

...is ur alarm clock on ur cellphone louder than ur normal ringtone???....cuz mine is and its very weird....

...mmm i dont think this can be fixed though...

Yes, my alarm clock is louder than when someone calls me! D: Arrrg.

Ok, update time.

I got a phone call at work today and it was quite loud. As in, the same volume as when I set the ringtone. Once I got home, I called my cell from my dad's cell phone and it was loud, and the same volume as before. BUT, I then called my cell from my home phone and it went quiet again! I thought it might somehow be my home phone, but I called from my dad's cell again and it was STILL quiet! This is so freaking weird and it's driving me NUTS!!
