So here's the thing. Recently I've been unable to swallow properly. I try to swallow but it's really hard for the food to get down my throat. I normally have to drink a ton of water before I can swallow it. It can't be the food because I've tried eating food that is moist but I still had the same problem.
I told my friend about it and she told me she had the same problem too, being unable to swallow. So does anyone know why? Some way to.. get rid of this? It's really frustrating when I know I'm hungry but I can't seem to get it down my throat.

That doesn't sound normal. I would say go see a doctor.
I've had problems with my throat before and had to do numerous
tests at specialists and stuff like the barium swallow or w/e it's called.
They're not fun but they help you find the problem.

The barium swallow - not a pleasant experience,
had it done myself, but necessary to see what's wrong.

If you have heartburn and stuff it's possible it can be GERD. Better to just go see a doctor.

I'm not sure if I have a similar problem =S
But its with certain foods, like meat and those long stringy vegetables, like bok choy and spinach and what not. No matter how much I chew, I constantly find myself cholking on them.
Every time I go out and eat these foods, I make a huge cholking episode =(
I have no idea what's causing it though..

Dang, I thought I was the only person in the world with this problem! I've had a swallowing/chewing problem since I was a little kid. I can chew as much as I can but sometimes it's hecka difficult for me to swallow the food, and I always, always have to resort to water or liquid. My mom hates it when I do this. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me either, but I hate it because I always eat the slowest out of everyone I eat with. I've only met ONE person who eats slower than I do.
