i just feel like a hypocrite sometimes .. just going to church without a main purpose .. like all the kids in my church are strong and dedicated christians and i feel like the only one left out. i'm like the only who constantly curses, sucks at math, and smokes sometimes. everyone else is clean and just depends on God for everything. but sometimes I just don't feel like a right person. someone please help me

because it's hard. in school, i'm surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of non-christians who do crazy mini cooper and curse all the time, and i'm used to their ways. and when i go to church, i see a bunch of strong-hearted true christians who basically live their life for God while I'm in the church feeling different. and a lot of kids in my school take Christianity as a joke, and it's just hard to defend it and all that. it's hard to explain everything. this is the farthest i can explain ..

Conformity is a sin. Or was it.

Half of those so-called true-hearted christians probably aren't. You can perform effectively, but does that mean when the trial of fire comes, you'll be able to fulfill your duty? No, they'll probably chicken out.

So what if people do stuff and curse all the time? Just cause you see someone punching a kid, doesn't mean you're going to go and punch the kid as well.

don't compare yourself w/ other people. cuz you're different. you shouldn't feel like you're inferior as a christian because of the things you do. just try to feel comfortable about where you are in your relationship w/ God and not worry about other people.
and i used to go to a school where only like 5% of the students were christians.. and sometimes people made being a christian seem like a really bad thing. but i prayed a lot and i decided that God put me in there for a reason. so i asked him to use me and help change the kids at my school. it was very uncomfortable at first and the people around me didn't really change... but i did and i don't care what the people around me do anymore. it doesn't influence how i feel or what i do.. so i think you should tell God how you feel and ask him for help =)

Hmm..I would suggest hanging out with your friends at church??
Because in school, my friends don't really understand how important my religion is to me..
But with church buddies, we can all just relate =)

Don't worry about yourself compared to the others so much. It's only going to lower your self esteem and make you feel discouraged. Plus, everyone sins so nobody can be the "right" person. You should talk to your pastor and tell him that you want to become a more commited Christian. I guess the best advice to give you is to...well, pray to God. Talk to him about your problems and he WILL help you. Trust me Hope I helped lol.

All I can suggest is to pray. And remember that the most important changes happen naturally. I think if you really will yourself and want to change, you will. Pray that God will help make you how you want to be, or how He wants you to be. It's tough though, and it may be a while before it feels like you've made any progress. Oh, and I'm a pastor's daughter, but I've felt out of touch in church compared to other kids, too.

im Roman Catholic and we are some of the most orthodox Christans out there
but u know your doing alright if u are just a genuine good person
and u know how they say god dont like ugly
.........some of the most hardcore Christans are some the most ugliest people
