i donno if there's any1 like me...
but i really hate exercising dry.gif
im bad in almost all sports, which made me hate exercising even more = ="
i'm not 'fat' in terms of height/weight proportion
but i have really jiggly legs and arms...
like when i shake my arm sometimes, the top part of my arm jiggles..
and same goes with my leg....its like my body's made of fat >.>

i get really tired easily too, and im very unflexible(due to lack of exercising i guess?)

i tried swimming, basketball etc.
but the fat wont turn into muscles...

any advice? >.<

First things first. Fat never turns into muscles.
Fat gets burned off and muscle forms from the proteins and calories you consume.
That being said, the state of your body will be dictated by what you eat.
I'd advise you to eat a diet which consists of high proteins and moderate to low carbs.
Try running or biking, no one is bad at those things smile.gif.

^yep. that is very true, that fat does not turn into muscle and vice versa. ya gotta burn the fat off.
i love exercising, haha, so i can't really say from a person that doesn't like exercising,
but maybe you should try to at least jog for a couple minutes each day, or jump rope, or just skip around your house.
i used to be inactive besides doing sports awhile back, (and i had those jiggly arms too), but i would jump rope everyday for 15 minutes with rests inbetween. then, after doing if for awhile, i got into a habit and did more and it actually made me less tired to do exercises and stuff!
and if you do that, remember to eat healthy carbs before exercising to give you more energy!!!!

i don't know if that really helped you. haha. sorry. just an experience i had.
but remember that it takes time to lose weight and lose fat. on the plus side, exercising (especially strength training) speeds up metabolism(:

Nope, you're not alone in being a fat skinny person. hahaha.

It takes a while before you'll see any results...but start slowly, esp if you haven't exercised in a long time. It won't do you any good if you start way too intense and then burn yourself out and start dreading like hell every exercise session. Try to find an activity you'll enjoy so it won't seem like a chore. Sometimes all the motivation you need is a little competition. Otherwise you'll have to develop self-discipline & a will of steel. =)

As your body gets used to the demands you're putting on it from exercising, it will begin to get more efficient and strong, so you will be able to increase the intensity and length of your workouts. It will take time.

The only way to make fat go away is if caloric INPUT < caloric OUTPUT.

There's no way to "spot train," as in, losing fat ONLY from your arms, or ONLY from your stomach.

Toning your muscles isn't the same as losing fat. For example, if you do 100 crunches every day, your abdominal muscles will become very developed but the layer of fat on top of them won't suddenly disappear.

I think running is supposed to be the fastest way to lose weight.

This is actually VERY common. What you need to focus on is your diet and enjoyable exercise. Make sure you're eating well (lots of threads here about it, all sorts of stuff on the internet; don't go with fad diets, go with balanced, traditional intake of properly proportioned food), and find some good flexibility and toning exercise. Yoga is fantastic (even for guys... most guys seem to think it means you're instantly gay if you do yoga, but when you get that toned and flexible... yeah, let the women decide), and there are many other forms of less strenuous, passive, enjoyable exercise that don't involve being inherently athletic.

skinny and fat at the same time? Are u like those girls with skinny arms and skinny legs, but your mid area is like a square?

This might be because of stress factors, those who are stressed out more tend to be less curvy and the "meat/fat" goes in your stomach area

U gotta read about cortasol.... its the stuff that releases when your stressed and it targets your tummy.. =/

Oh god I'm exactly like you. I hateeee moving. @______@; I haven't really exercised or anything for like... three years. I didn't even have tennis shoes. ><;; Then a friend I made this year persuaded me [after several hours. x__o] to go and and get them... and so this winter break I ran twice. o: Not for very long... but it's a start. xDD

It's really hard to start, but I guess if you want it badly enough, you'll just go out and do it. ><; I just hope I don't get lazy again and stop once school starts. ._____.;

And yeah. having "stick arms and legs" that are all jiggly and crap drives me crazy. e___e;

Isn't this really common? Slim frame but untoned.
The jiggliness in your legs can be remedied by cardio exercises! Definitely slimmed down my thighs <33

i'll try jogging/biking maybe in summer, i live in calgary and its covered in snow here >.>

at the same time i'll try jumping rope in the garage @_@

also 2 stupid questions:

-does jumping on the stairs work? (like say im walking down the stairs, but i jump one by one instead)

-my friend told me that if the weather's really cold outside, and you wear thin layers of clothing, your body will lose fat because it uses it as heat? o.O and if u jump around outside with thin layers of clothing you will lose fat and gain muscles at the same time? O____________O"

There's really no benefit to jumping. It'd be better if you ran up and down the stairs.

The thin layers thing is a myth. If you want to get sick you should do it. Other than that,
there are no benefits. If anything you should wear more clothes and sweat out the excess water.
That's what professional fighters do to cut weight.

thought I'd add...

if your priority goal is just to see a lower number on the scale, then ok, losing water weight can help. it can show results quickly. But keep in mind your body NEEDS water and it's made up of about 60% water. And since water weight is easily shed, you can just as easily GAIN back that water weight.

Your body does also need fat (to insulate, and provide reserved stores of energy) but on the whole it is better to lose weight/shape your body by losing fat rather than water. It's harder to lose fat, but it will stay off longer. And losing water weight won't remove the jiggly from your arms.

ummm this is probably a dumb question but what's the difference between water weight and fat? How do you lose one but not the other?

I'm pretty chubby (lots of fat around tummy, thighs, arms etc >.>).. yet I wear size small O_o (i'm 5'4 btw =\)
I find that pretty amazing.. cuz i swear i wouldn't of suggested a size large for myself xD
