Who is the richest person that you personally know? I'm curious because most of the people at my school are at about the same socioeconomic level as me (middle class) so when I read blogs about teens spending $2k on a pair of shoes, it just blows my mind (sea of shoes)!! I mean, I know people with nice houses and all, but even they try to be thrifty.

The richest person I know is my aunt who lives in China and owns a lot of stationery stores. She comes out to visit us twice a year.


Please also include purchases that they've made to give us a tangible sense of how much they have

and im also friends with the daughter of the owner of dallas stars (hockey) texas rangers (baseball) and liverpool (soccer in UK) tom hicks....his house is on like a 40...? acre estate with like three houses. its beautiful
they're like friends with bush and like so many other people with a high status in politics
and another one of my friends parents own a mall
and another one of my friends dad is the senior president of TI.

and a family i know owns like vail, colorado

they're like...billionaires for all i know..they all have private jets, multiple of them.
and they all own more than one cars for themselves/spouse & children

but they dont flaunt their wealth....they're really modest and everything

She has about 6 chinese/thai restraunt around the world - spain, china, london and somewhere else..
She also has smart children, 1 of her daughter earns $280,000 a year!
Since its the credit crunch.. her wages might have been cut!

I do know other rich people! But i think this is the richest of them all!

My Japanese Uncle, he's some type of negotiator I heard he sold his recent house for a million dollars, now he's living somewhere in Granite Bay with his family under a 4-5 story house or something. o_O

I always feel so awkward whenever he tells me to visit because I seriously get lost in his house. =_= lol..

My other Aunts & Uncles are considered "semi-rich" to me.
Because usually all the money they get is from winning "casino jackpots" haha. xP

My Grandma's sister own this pretty decent "luxurious-looking" house.
And like I think each room [around 5-6?] has a plasma T.V lol and every person who lives there has a $1000+ laptop.

But yeah, being rich also has it's flaws as well. =/

his dad co-owns a series of casinos. their entire family is well known - you can see them in magazines and stuff all the time
he gets spoiled rotten, mainly cos he's living away from his family

Haha the richest person I know is .. prob one of my good friends. His parents don`t let him work, he gets to max out his $12k credit card every month, parents own a whole bunch of 5star hotels in Hong Kong and he drives the nicestttt freaking car

My dad is friends with a guy that lives in the middle of nowhere but has this gorgeous house with lots of land and a huge garage filled with expensive cars. He offered to let me drive one of his cars once but that was when I didn't have my license. I did get to drive his ATV thingy.

The richest person I know is probably my uncle-in-law, my aunt married him a year ago.
He's a millionaire, I don't know his occupation though...I'm pretty sure he's a businessman.
He lives in Japan but he travels to San Francisco and Dallas a lot.

my aunt.
she owns a dental place and basically has her own practice. her business never dies down and the insurance companies pays her a lot. she spends it on useless things and spoils her kids a lot. instead of buying one set of games for all of her kids to share, she buys them all 3 of the same thing like halo 3 etc... my cousin, which is her daughter, gets coach and other brand names stuff a lot. my aunt travels about 10 times a year and has no problem doing so. she goes back and forth to the philippines and london most of the time.

the thing is, money kinda overshadowed her personality.
she wasn't the same until she made so much money in 2 years having her business.
she became so "greedy" and showed off her money a lot. she thinks she can own everyone just because of her power. unfortunately, there's a lot of things money can't buy. with this reason, her side of the family and my side of the family kinda drifted apart and we never talked ever since.

her father is a part of the LSE (London Stock Exchange) Group and they profit alot from there.
Moreover, aside from her father being a part of the LSE, her mom is one of the biggest shareholder at
MTV Networks Europe.

They've got huge houses all around the UK. And they have a super amazing house in South Kensington and she also have her own seperate apartment. Since her mom is like, a part of the MTV, she gets invited in all the events that are happening, which is why, we are lucky since she also invites us. `xD
And all of them, in their family, has each of their own luxury car. And they travel ALOT.

... and she books a flight to France when she's bored or has nothing to do for the weekend. O_______O

probably my grand aunt and her husband and their children o_o and THE WHOLE husband's side is rich o_o..like they owned this huge fashion company in asia..can't say..and I know for a fact that one of the in laws now owns a few golf properties and stuff..and they donate to all of our religion the schools @_@..I've been to their house..it's freaking nice...=/..lol..and they travel ALOT and go to all these crazy social events..haha that's all I know =P
