Wah all my friends AND soompi members are getting college mail? I don't know if I should be worried that i'm not getting them..

I'm terrified of junior year. I'm pretty paranoid about everything too.
I feel like I'm going to FAIL my SATs and SAT IIs. OK, so you can't really fail them, but they're important and I feel like I'm going to do horribly on them. TT___TT
Also, I'm taking AP Psych, Honors World Literature, Honors Pre-Calc, AP Bio II, AP World History, and Honors Spanish IV next year and I'm afraid I'm going to fail them and not be recommended for all AP classes senior year. ROFL.

@ArJaii: I'm taking APUSH this year. Uhh, I guess it depends on how much you like history.
I'm not sure how it is for you at your school, but it's a hard-core class at my school and dedication is needed.
Well, for homework at least because note-taking of a section for me takes about a hour or two. (I'm a fast note taker too. ^^;;)

Wow.. I found out that I'm not qualified to take my WHAP exam because I got an F in my ALGEBRA II midterm.
Okay. I suck at Algebra and my teacher just gives you an A in that class if you just show up to class and sit there, pretending you're doing something.
But Algebra doesn't have anything to do with History for God's sake. [/rant]

That's...unfair. They shouldn't be using that to stop you from taking an AP exam. Maybe, if you had a bunch of unexcused absenses.
Sounds like something my school would do. I mean, they basically kick you out if you don't pass Math or Science. I'm pretty much in danger, since I'm miserably failing AP Bio. It's unfair because we've never had regular Biology. and the teacher's all, "Regular Biology doesn't learn this stuff." I never got the chance to understand what was taught in the regular class! And they wouldn't let me drop AP.

But my teacher said that my chance probably shot up since he gave us a surprise DBQ essay 2 weeks ago and he handed them back today.
I got an 7 on it while everyone else got 1s or 2s and I had the second highest grade in all of his classes (one dude in my class got an 8!).
So take that for being not smart enough to take the stupid exam. >__<

At my school you HAVE to take reg. Bio before you take AP Bio, I think the same goes for Chemistry as well.
But I'll probably never take it since I HATE the AP Bio teacher at my school, the dude is completely wacko and talks at 3 million words per second (literally).
My friends says its impossible to take notes in his class since their hand can't keep up with him. I think most of them use voice recorders in his class and go write notes from the recorder when they get home.

I'm looking at colleges and get flooded with mail from some colleges I've never heard of. I swear I get AT LEAST 4 letters a day.
I get one letter from this Riders University in NJ EVERYDAY. It's kinda annoying.

I'm not really getting into scholarships since I don't really know where to look.
I only found ones that are egliable if you go to college in-state and I'm planning to go out of state so they're no good.

So yeah.. and with the WHAP thing, your school only omits you from the final if you pass all your classes? That's weird; ours does it if you have three absences and 80+ average in the actual history class.

I don't think I'm going to pass WHAP this year. I just barely got by HGAP last year. Aish. My teacher is screwing us over SO badly.

haha. Don't worry, you're not the only one. I've actually been looking at colleges since I was a kid. XD *nerd* I really want to find a college that I can be obsessed about and get hyped up for college, but I don't think that's gonna happen. XD
I'm holding off on the scholarships until senior year though. haha. My future self will probably hate me because senior year is going to be hectic!

But yeah, I got the same as you. haha. Everyone got around 4s-5s while I got a 7. This genius kid in the other class got an 8...Figures though. He loves history... O___O

I've been looking at colleges since Freshmen year, maybe even 8th grade. :X

I want to major in art, so none of the really nice schools, unless I miraculously get into WashU and miraculously become super rich and get like a full scholarship. (in my dreams)

Ugh, on a bad note, I totally missed the deadline for AP registration. .__.
I was planning to take World History AP and Chinese AP, but blah. I can always take Chinese next year. It's super easy, but World History.
I'm going to forget everything by next year. ._.
