i've done some research on the net but...idk this is really far off and i can kind of fortell what kinda of responses i'll get but i really want to try whatever i can

my 'friend' is experiencing split personality disorder
only reason her parents won't do anything is because
1. financial reasons
2. their religious/spiritual affairs
because they are extremely tight situation financial-wise, they can't go to a doctor about it
so they believe that in their religious perspective, their spirituality will fix everything

total bs
last night she beat her mom half to death and when she woke up, her mom told me that she stared at her
with a clueless expression, asking 'mom what happened to your face'
and whenever she goes through this state..her eyeballs roll up where you can only see the whites
yea it totally qualifies with split personality disorder except it hasn't been diagnosed yet by a professional
i really want to help them...I tried to take them to a free clinic but they turn us away because they were way too preoccupied and just told us to go seek a professional
well that takes us back to problem one

i don't know...what more can there be done for this?
thanks

Tell her to go see a psychiatrist before anything worse happens.
That's actually very scary.

Holy cow that's scary.

Get her to any doctor, any hospital, anywhere close with professional people asap because she's hella dangerous.

I hope she gets help soon and gets better.

Um.. what SORT of religious/spiritual views does her parents have?
Because if it were demon possession I think your friend would have witnessed hitting her mom and stuff.
Anyway, if they insist on spiritual help [whether you believe or not, it doesn't hurt to try] visit a PROTESTANT PASTOR. It is free. Try any church.. evangelical, baptist, presbyterian.. [if anyone wants to know why you shouldnt see a Catholic one, PM me.. I'm not discriminating.]
If this doesn't help, then it is not possession. Seek a psychologist

Psychiatrist? BS. -__-;
Split personality disorder has NOTHING TO DO WITH CHEMICALS IN THE BRAIN...
It is a DISEASE OF THE MIND.
MIND is NOT BRAIN.
Do you know what that means? This problem can only be fixed through talking to a specialist regularly, because there are psychological complications to this.
MAKE SURE whoever you seek does not attempt to solve the problem through any MEDICINE.. -__- ugh.. I am SICK of
See a PSYCHOLOGIST.
..sorry.. I think I'm gonna go insane...[not intended to offend you, its just that I keep finding out my friends have mental disorders that need treatment..and some of them sought the wrong means.. sigh..]

I know you know this, but yeah.. don't let it just stay this way, this problem NEEDS to be dealt with.
I am sort of in the same situation..slightly different..but it's similar.. so I understand how you feel..
And I wanna know how we can get to a psychologist without spilling too much money or well.. in my case we cant let parents know.. ><

i reckon the parents dont wanna admit that there is something mentally wrong with their child. i mean if you were a parent.. it would be very hard for you to accept that your child may have real pyschoclogical problems. it might just be a phase, i reckon she should go to a therapist, maybe its something thats on her chest that she needs to get rid of.

ok religion-wise,

my opinion is that her mom's resorting to religion only because she can't do anything about it financial wise
they are just hoping prayers&& TIME will cure everything
but like i've been trying to convince her..

this has been digressing from ust depression to duelistic personality to violence
i'm not saying she has split personality disorder, rather that's what i think it is..i mean what else possiblilities are there?

i thin kafter the holiday seasons are over, i'm going to try to convince her to take her to the free clinic again..i think some sort of evaluation and coaxing from a medical specialist might get her to see someone..

and yureru132 that's really a eye-opening comment..
so if she isn't damaged neurosis wise..then i guess this gives some sort of relief huh..........

the kroean church we go to sadly doesn't have much counseling program...i guess i'm going to have to seek out some non-profit group huh..

ty for the help guys tho smile.gif

I'm hoping for the best for your friend, and I'll keep her in my prayers.
Let me know how it goes.
