Well, you said it yourself, you're only 15.

When you get into the teen phase you find that you will do a lot of silly things without thinking properly, or think that you thought it out properly, when you haven't.

I know it's an overgeneralisation, but you are growing and so is your mind as well as your mood. Hormones and stuff like that can really frustrate you.

You should really find something you really enjoy and you should also grow to love yourself. I don't really know where I will tell you to find inspiration from, but when I was in my teens, my strongest drive was stumbling across rock music (I really never liked that stuff at all) but I had a really strong connection with the lyrics and went ahead to learn the Japanese language to decipher and to learn more.

I was also a pretty depressed kid back then, but now I'm like fine (though I'm 20 now). Moved on (rock music is no longer my interest, moved onto other things), but the moral of the story is to find something you absolutely love.

At the same time you've got to understand that you need to be healthy and love yourself. A lot of people can't live even if they wanted to, so a life is a very precious thing! Good luck and hope you find your inspiration somewhere. Set small targets for yourself and work towards them. Reward yourself when you get to your targets and achieve them. smile.gif

wink.gif i feel you im 15 too
start little by little to build ureself up
first instead of eating alot of food that is making you gain weight
try eating fruits and veggies instead and drink lots and lots of water this will help you stop gaining weight from bad foods

and get ure mind off things by karoking! i mean sing all out pumping songs and dance like no ones watching and get all that stress out while getting a work out (;

soon you'll be able to be back on ure feet

i kind of went through this phase too but not as drastic
i got my mind off of stress and things by running
weird as that sounds

i hope this helps
good luck! wink.gif

you're thinking the right way, you know that you're better off than many people out there and you're admitting your mistakes and failures and thats good. But you'll have to stop thinking that you're in a "destructive cycle".

Face reality, and be positive. I'm guessing that your weight gain is the main thing that's making you feel so down, so face the truth that you've gained 30 pounds, and try to change your bad habits. I'm sure you know that eating more makes you gain weight, so try to stop overeating. Start going to the gym and motivate yourself!~ But please don't go on any crazy diets! They're terrible for your body, and they never really work either...

Weight isn't the only thing that matters, take good care of your body and your health too. Don't just only wear sweats, it'll only remind you of your weight gain. Don't over-restrict the clothes you wear, and learn to be comfortable with your own size.

Just take it slowly and change your habits bit by bit. If you keep it up, I'm sure you'll see results.

Good luck! Just pm me if you need any more advice smile.gif

Well some things I learned were
fast food makes you feel sluggish, lazy and tired. It's food that makes you more depressed and lazy.
So if you're eating fast food I suggest you stop and turn to more healthy choices.
Also, stop wearing sweats, loose clothing hides your body so you're not aware of how much weight you're gaining.
I would suggest joining some after school activities or something and try pushing yourself into being more involved with your life.
Also try to keep yourself busy with whatever you enjoy doing, because boredom sometimes leads to eating.

Or if you can't find the motivation to do anything maybe you can talk to your parents/concelors about what's going on and get help with it because this might be depression you're dealing with.

When I was 15, I went through the same thing. I didn't gain an excessive amount of weight, but I can relate to the feeling ugly and fat part. One of the problems with the "tomorrow" reasoning is that when you tell yourself that, your mind does not understand because it can only deal with the present. So said my creative writing teacher, who read that in an article. Anyway, I can tell you this: I'm soon to be 21 and although I haven't gotten over all my insecurities, I'm working on them. I still feel the "what's the point in doing x, when I'm x" type thing, but I realized that there is no point being upset over things you can't change. What you can do is work with what you have and stop comparing yourself with others.
It's just the radio.

OHCHILD! I absolutely feel your pain , I was just 15 last year, and though it didnt happen to me the same age, it happened to me back in the 6th grade, where 6th grade is supposed to be the happiest year of your life, since it was the last year in my elemetary school and instead , things went wrong, I guess my hormones kicked in and stuff and defenitely going though puberty >>> ignore that <LOLZ , But what I am trying to say , is just be really OPTIMISTIC & TAKE RESPONSIIBLITY for your own actions, I mean if you are so tired of feeling that way, the only person that can change the way you feel is none other than YOU! So, the moral here is, you have the all the power to change your life. Its okay, everything will be fine, its not permanent (:

Better to find a hobby! It really relieves our stress.
For diet, i never really do diet. But what i did is keeping my refrigerator full of fruits and never buy chocolate/candies wink.gif
and dont eat junkfood~ eat healthy food.

Find some other things you enjoy as much as eating... Try to get a new hobby or pick something exciting to save up your money for and work hard to get it. Try yoga or pilates or even meditation - that could really help your mind, body, and spirit all at the same time.

Good luck and hang in there - you are young and have so much to live for and look forward to! smile.gif

You remind me of myself when I was 15. Well...14. I moved to a new town and was stressed. So I started eating and being depressed and eating more. Just like you. I was already fat to begin with but I went from 145 lbs. to 170 lbs. and I'm only 5'4". Yea...I'm a fatty. I also wore the same black sweater to school and always had my hair up in a pony tail. Wore the same dirty sneakers. I was disgusting. But I joined the track team! That was a turning point in my life. When I joined I lost about 10 lbs that season and even if I was still 160 lbs. I still got compliments. I started changing the way I thought about myself and my wardrobe. I continued doing track and joined tennis. I went all the way down to 130 lbs. in like a year or two. I only put my hair up in a pony tail when I'm exerciseing, I got bangs, take lots of pictures, wear other colors besides black and eat healthier. I'm not there now cause I gained back some cause of stress but I still haven't gone back to my old habits (maybe besides the eating). I'm captain of the track team now and I hope to continue to lose more weight and stay healthy. =] Don't give up and good luck!

Even when this a down point in your life, things can only get better. 15? You're still so young! I was in my awkward years at 15, I was overweight and my skin was bad, but I grew out of it by dieting and growing. There's so much time for a change, you're still young and you have many years ahead of you. Remember, if you want your life to change, only you can change it. Make a difference for yourself. Dieting is very hard to start with, but when you get on it and start exercising, eating the right foods, you'll gradually become happy with the results, even if you lose a lb or 2. Then it'll turn into 10lbs, 20lbs, so on. Dieting sounds hard, but it's easy and it makes you happier inside and out. If you're still hungry after eating a small meal, go get an apple or a couple of grapes instead of chips, or junk food. It's hard to cut the cravings, but it's better to not eat a luxury than feeling like crap after you've eaten the luxury.

If you're not happy in your skin, eat healthier and know when to stop. Be determined. (:

Learn to live a healthy active goal accomplishing lifestyle. Make goals : short term and longterm. Update them as time passes. Certain elements in life require maintenance. Do stuff : don't just sit and wait for responses. When you read this ask yourself if you went and did what was necessary to start moving forward. Besides looking for sympathetic support and kind words. A more mature person wouldn't rely on empty digital words to help them move forward. They would seize the day and take advantage of their time and organize their schedules effectively to accomplish their goals. When it gets hard that is when it is worthwhile because so many people just give up or fall back into a rut!

The only easy thing is to do nothing.

Have you done something recently?

Rules to health.

Throw away all the bad stuff you have - Junk Food stores
Refuse to buy bad stuff, spend your money on healthy food. Frozen chicken breast, fresh produce, healthy fish oils, vitamins and minerals, etc
Make a schedule and stick to it ~ Keep it simple at first. A weekly schedule sunday night or morning and roughly plan out your week and write down exactly when you are going to workout.

Since your grossly out of shape and have been disrespecting your body ease yourself in! It can be 15 minutes or 45 minutes ~ you'll just have to nurture your inner self again. Plan to exercise 3-6 times a week! Start somewhere, start now!
