I heard that these two are good for your skin, and also to make your lashes grow longer and thicker! Is it for real?? Share your stories!

Vaseline
since it is petroleum jelly when put on the face it will clog your pores! Another words for those of you have dry skin it it not good to put vaseline on your face cause moisture is locked in your skin. But it's a good regimen to soften those lips. & thicken those eyelashes!

Vitamin E
i forgot. haha

Vaseline
-Removes makeup well
-Helps chapped lips/dry places

Disadvantage->not a good moisturizer for face b.c it can clog pores.

Vitamin E
-Prevents/treats sunburns since it is an antioxidant
-Prevents skin cancer
-Anti-aging for skin

This is what I can think of as of right now.

I think vaseline do help in moisturized your lip, I find it is more useful than some other brand of lip balm, besides it is cheaper
but I don't think it can apply on your face, quite oily+ sticky and I think it will make you uncomfortable.

Vit E, I read from some magz that it could help to lenghten your lashes if you use it regularly, but I havent tried it.
PHS brought me a GIFT this September and I'm awaiting for Liyin's this coming October

I'm pretty sure you can find it at your local drug store, and it should come in caplets.

And I guess what you do is poke the caplet with a pin or something and then the oil will come out lol.

I've used Vitamin E on my eyelashes and they grew a considerable amount. It's actually worth it for me to use mascara now, haha. I bought vitamin E oil that was in a bottle since it seemed more sanitary then poking holes in the capsules.

i've heard that vaseline actually makes ur lips drier b/c ur lips sends a message to the brain that it doesn't need to support itself moisture-wise? hrmmm

but i heard on a tv show (OPRAHHH) that using vaseline on ur hands can reduce the look of veins

my mom and aunt use vaseline on almost everything.

mainly they feet, face, hands, arms..legs?
idk.
haha but the feet fo sho.
they put it on, then put on socks to keep it in.
and for their face, they put it on before sleeping.

their face seems to look alright.
/:

and it heals their feet good.

and in reply to the thing about vaseline actually being bad for lips, i think that might be partly true. but maybe just if you use it a lot and like..depend on it.
its like when someone takes a drug for a long while, then stops, their body will be all WTFing with withdrawal cause it didnt really need to make whatever the drug was taking place of.

(or at least i think thats how it is)

Vaseline is good alternative if you need something to protect and heal your wounds but you might as well buy Neosporin instead. Vaseline aids your skin by locking in moisture so if you have any dry patches on your body such as your heels, toes, lips, cuticles and elbows it'll make your skin really nice and supple. Although, it can be a bit messy and sticky sometimes.

I personally love Vitamin E oil. You can put a drop of it on your face as a moisturizer especially if your skin is really dry and your foundation application will go on ever so smoothly. Vitamin E also aids in healing scars, sun burns, and reducing fine lines. I always use Vitamin E oil as a eye makeup remover because it's oil-based (removes waterproof makeup), it help reduce fine lines around the eyes (due to tugging off eye makeup), and it also makes my eyelashes really healthy and thick (it plumps your lashes by lockin in moisture) despite my daily use of waterproof mascara. I always buy a bottle of Vitamin E oil at Rite Aid for about 5 bucks. As centric mentioned, it's totally worth it.

I don't know about Vitamin E but I actually started using Vaseline on my eyelashes when I read it a couple months ago ( to see if it would make them fuller. )
A classmate actually commented on my eyelashes ! ( Weird right ? I've never gotten such a comment. )
She said " Your eyelashes are really long and thick " and I beamed, of course. Vaseline totally works !

I put it on before I go to bed. Just a little bit, rubbed onto the eyelashes ( with clean hands, of course. ) Just enough to make your eyelashes feel kind of wet ?
I go to sleep and, in the morning, wipe off whatever's left with a warm damp washcloth. It has never left a residue on my pillowcase, so no worries there. If you shower in the morning, that's probably even better !

hope this helps. smile.gif

Vaseline
good for chipped or dry lips, very moisturizing. apply it on eyelashes for fuller lashes

vit E
powerful antioxidant, good for scars, can use GNC's vit E and poke a hole on the capsule so that the oil will leak out and use the oil to apply it on scars and it will disappear very quickly.

All I know is, that whenever I apply either of those to my face at night, the next morning my face/eyes get really puffy. : / So I haven't used them on my face since but I guess I can use them on other parts of my body like my feet, elbows, and knees.

if you have new scar. keep putting vitamin e to heal it.

my teacher's son fell on a heater and messed up his face. and everyday she puts vitamin e on his face and when we saw him. his face doesn't even have any scar.
