Just curious about this topic, because I know everyones answer will be different...

for me, my highschool friends are the people I fully depend on and trust...

College friends are nice and fun to see, but I dont trust them with everything

Yeah about the same here. All my friends from high school are so nice and always can be myself around them. In college, it seems that however close I can be with someone it never gets to the same level.

I however moved to the next city for university so now I don't have much friends here ~~~ went to see them for xmas, it was just so good. Miss them and my town hehe

I see my college friends more often, and my high school friends and I don't keep in touch much when I'm in Canada, but they're the ones I'm closest with and trust the most. None of my university friends 'get' me like they do. I don't confide in my uni friends much. It's really nice to spend time with my high school friends on breaks, because I feel more relaxed and free with them than with my current school friends. I see my four closest high school friends and I staying friends for a long time, but I'm not sure about any of my friends at uni. Like Kang1004 said, it's just like a different level. That's why it's really tough that all my closest high school friends and I are at different schools--each of us is in a different state/province--and I get fewer and shorter breaks than they do. For example, they're gonna be home for break for another couple of weeks, but my second semester starts a week from today, and then they get a spring break that I don't get and Thanksgiving break is at a different time and longer for them too.

It's because you know them in HS for 4 yrs and grew up in the same place.
For college the people are from all over the state/world so that's one reason you would be closer to HS friends because I would too.

Now in my third year of college, I've kinda drifted away from my HS friends. We all go to diff schools, so it's hard to see each other on a consistent basis. I've gotten closer and closer to my college friends since I spend more time with them now, so I'm not really sure who I'm closer to overall.

and just the fact that we hang out everyday
it's really hard to find time to talk to hs friends b/c of
our busy schedules and such..but i see them once or twice a year during break
but we keep in touch through fb and stuff..but im definitely not as close to them as before

it depends. there are some people from HS I don't even talk to anymore, and when I do it's just hey how are you. I have like very few HS friends that I keep in touch with.

I'm closer to my college friends because we spend everyday together and I would trust most of them with everything lol. I'm closest to my middle school friend though, but that's different.

i'm definitely closer with my high school friends, but i'm pretty close with my college friends too, even though i only knew them for a quarter.

My high school friends and I eventually grew apart, but I'm still pretty close to my college friends, even three years after graduation. My high school friends and I went to different schools in different states. My school (Carleton) was on a trimester system while their schools were all on semester systems, so our breaks didn't overlap that much.

High school friends, definitely. People in college are too uptight. The ones I do talk to have their heads stuck in books most of the time. Can't even have a decent conversation with them.

^ Agreed!! I commute to school so its harder to keep in touch with my friends who go there as well. But I always look forward to seeing my HS friends during breaks and stuff.

I feel definitely closer to my college friends. I haven't really kept in touch with my high school friends since we all are going to different schools and meeting new people.
I still feel lonely though when I see my high school group still hang out together and I'm not there.

most of my high school friends have all moved away, and i only keep in touch with very few high schools. i see my friends from school a lot more. i was never that close with my friends from high school in the first place though.

In high school I had friends but only 2-3 are my closest.
In college I got to know much more people and are all good friends with them...

College friends. They're more mature than my high school friends and I trust them more with my personal issues. High school friends don't grow up in their vocabulary words and they're drama people. Probably less than five people that I've kept in touch with since then..

I have quite a few college friends, but when it comes to chilling/going out, I prefer my high school/middle school friends because I'm closer with them. The thing with college friends is they live far from me and studies 24/7 >_>.
