but it wasn't any "flavor" that was found on the original sight ;_;
it was Gingerbread essence?
did i buy something that wasn't the real thing? >__<
it has all the ingredients that people listed : palm oils and palm kernal oils, olive oil, water, glycerin, essential oil for fragrance
please tell me this was something that came out only for christmas and not a fake T__T
...the soap smells really good though o3o;;
oh btw :3 I absolutely love this thread <3
was going to try it when i read when i saw the stuff about the hair loss thing XD;
my hair's been going down the drain for so long ;_;
well if it still has the same ingredients i think its pretty much the same. maybe its a new scent? and the site may not show all the flavours?
do you have a shower head? like...the ones where its not attached to the wall, so you can take down and bring it closer to yourself? because what I do is take it and point it right at my head while massaging my scalp to rince the soap. I get a bit of a residue too, but not too much

Ah no, but I wish I did! Oh well I am glad to know i am not the only one that gets a residue. Do you have a method of cleaning it off the brush? I soak mine in hot water to try and get it off, but it is a pain, since I have to do it every few days.

I got my soap at GNC by Dr. Bronner at buy one get one 50% off. It has a few more ingredients than I'd like but so far so good. It's just my hair that I can't stand but hopefully that'll go away soon. I got an unscented bar soap (baby mild) for my body, and a peppermint liquid soap for my acne and to brush my teeth with. I used it last night and woke up with ok breath. I wouldn't say that there was no morning breath though, but then again I ate after I brushed my teeth. lol.
I hope this soap is ok to use because it does say castile soap but I'm just iffy that it has a little more ingrdients than I'd like it to have. They also have this brand in huge bottles at Walgreens in the skin care section, but GNC has it in tiny bottles and I think Target does too. You can also use it to clean your fruits and wash your laundry with and even clean your house. Really cool soap!
INGREDIENTS:
Saponfied Organic Coconut Oil*, Saponified Organic Palm Oil*, Saponified Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Glycerin, Water, Organic Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Tocopherol (Vit. E)

The soap I'm using is Marseille Soap (OLIVE LAVENDER BONNE MERE SOAP), from L'Occitane En Provence.

Use organic body oils such as organic cold pressed sesame oil (Orphee or AyurVeda sesame oil), to moisturize right after you come out of your bath/shower .

Do you wait until your hair is completely dried before you comb it out? Also, do you comb your hair everyday?
I had that problem before because m hair is naturally wavy and my hair is a bit dry from chemical coloring. If you don't wait until your hair is dried, do that. If you do wait until your hair is dried, remember to comb out the bottom and work your way up. Never tug on your hair/scalp, hold the bottom part of your hair to comb it. You'll still lose some hair but it'll be a lot less. Also, the cause also might be the whole hair detox thing where the hair falls out to "renew" itself.

i used to be really lazy to shower and brush my teeth wahaha..
but more hardworking now..and i realize the difference after reading your post..
my hair is really sliky and smooth when i was lazy to shower and...teeth..no problems with it at all
the thing i have problem with most is my face..pimples never wanna go away..i have more than 30 on my face i swear..it scares me to look at myself..i tried stuff..sebamed, clean & clear and what not..
like you said it seems to be affective at first..then i got lazy again..yeap..and more pimples started coming out..
i'm wondering is it fine to like put greenbeen mask on my face just to cool off the pimples?
what about those other natural mask..i'm using the brand 'Origins' now..is that ok?
i always have a cheap,icky impression on soaps before i read your post ><
not a big fan of them since i grew up..no idea why..
but one thing that i felt most uncomfortable with is..brushing your teeth with soap @@
but i'm gonna try it anyways..its gonna be weird for sure..
thanks for taking time and writing all these down

Yeah I did notice some residue on my brush, but I generally don't comb my hair so I just tossed the brush.
Do you let your hair dry properly before sleeping? It might help it not be tangly.
eunbit had a post before on how to comb your hair if you must... I believe it was to hold your hair in a ponytail and start brushing from the bottom, making sure you don't end up yanking your hair.
Oh I found out she posted how to comb hair on page 4

It differs for each person. I didn't really have much of a detox period... it was only one time when the roots of my hair felt a bit waxy, but that might be because I was cutting conditioner out of my routine already. Other alternatives is to use vinegar rinse to help.
If you want you can still use conditioner in your hair, but in smaller amounts. It is better to slowly cut down and end up using soap instead of jumping into the whole new routine.

my " detox" period was about one week and it was short only
cus i washed by hair once a week with shampoo.
the first time was very waxy and ugly, but after a vinegar rinse
and brushing it went away.
after that i stoped using soap completely because i hated how it
cleaned my hair too much and now my hair is soft and feels good
plus i suspected that soap + hard water = crap
my advice if after two weeks you arnt getting positive results is
to cut out the use of soap and stick to just running fingers through
your hair or using a washcloth and " brushing" your hair
with just WATER.

My hair was smooth when the vinegar was on it, but after i rinsed it off, the wax immediately showed up again ._. sigh.

Oh yes. the results..(btw ive been using bar soap for a few weeks now, almost a month?)
okay so these are basically the changes that i noticed:
1. ALOT of less hair-loss. i used to get yelled at bc of the mess of my hair falling all over the place in the bathroom. Usually after 1 day,its crazy already o.o but now, i only see like what? 1 strand? but if i mess with my hair, of course there would be mroe hair loss.
btw, i dont brush my hair... sumhow my hair never knotts ;D
2. healthier hair.its much more soft,n it HELPED my dead ends look undead?
3. hair=non frizzy;better looking waves/curls. before i used it, my hair was POOFY.mom always commented on my hair, n make fun of me by saying im not asian...and my waves/curls are more formed, which makes it look better ;] and NOT EVEN poofy at all.

My hair was smooth when the vinegar was on it, but after i rinsed it off, the wax immediately showed up again ._. sigh.
i used a pretty strong vinegar, filled it up 1/4 of the way on a water bottle then the rest with water and shook it.
what made my hair waxy was not the vinegar but the water + soap.
the wax will go away once you stop using soap, at least for me it did.
and i also found a mixture of honey,lemon and water in the water bottle rinsed
through the hair makes it very soft and clean but not as harsh or smelly as vinegar.
cleaning hair with the washcloth is awesome too.
