yes. it will still dry out your hair. i had the smooth as silk shampoo and the conditioner, which is the most moisturizing one (or so they say) and my ends were still dry as straw and my roots oily and smelly after a day. although i suppose it depends on each persons body chemistry, but now i use soap and sometimes vinegar and my ends are better (still damaged from before but getting better) and my roots aren't greasy even after 3-4 days.

quick question regarding peroxide and baking soda for teeth. someone at my church was saying that she uses these products to whiten and fight bacteria in her mouth. she uses the straight product rather than purchasing a toothpaste that contains baking soda and peroxide. is this even advisable...wouldn't it be too harsh on the enamel?

It contains olive oil, water and sodium chloride aka mineral salt. It should be fine, it's just more drying and waxy compare to other soap I use, according to my experience, but it doesn't mean it's bad soap.
So I would try using it during the night since you produce some oil to your body compare to the day.
As for me it took some time for my body to adapt to the soap.
(You can check out some info which is a couple page back on dry skin using soap that Eunbit posted)
Hey thanks!
i was going to get the kiss my face soap but shipping to UK was extremely overpriced! so i opted for the Oliva Soap which is rly cheap
Ah my skin is oily anyway so dya think it'll still be okay?
to anyone who can answer my questions::
1) What would you suggest for really damaged hair? cos i have dyed/bleach/permed my hair so many times so using only soap will dry out my hair more? will the camomile oil help to condition it alone or dya think i would need more?
2) When you brush your teeth with olive-oil soap...what does it taste like?
3) is a olive-oil soap with other scents okay? because i found a site with loads of olive-oil soaps with fragrances to it like lemon or honeysuckle

Since the ingredients you listed are good to go, it wouldn't hurt to try. Before you use it, there was a post about Oliva's soap melts easily so I would be careful not to let it get sprinkle or damp by the shower head. Either you can try investing in other soaps that are tripled milled, but the soap you're using is fine but it just need extra attention.

For the Kissmyface, to me, it taste like newspaper or paper? x.x
I ate paper as a child and the taste just remind me of that. haha
Over all, it's a light taste. No bitterness like real soap.
For the Olivia Care, it taste a bit funny but it's easy to get used to.
It's like having fragrance in my mouth. It didn't taste like green tea at all.
The taste of the soap varies even when they both contain olive oil.

I have the Olivia Care in French Green Tea, and it contains olive oil with essential oil as fragrance. In that case, as long the fragrance are natural like essential oil that's fine as well.

I'm a teen and I have oily skin AND hair, which also leads to acne. Not to mention hormones and etc. I hope this would make it a bit better, plus, it's alot cheaper than to buy products separately when you got this as an all in one. I finally had the time to get Olivia Care's soap at Marshall's. They had so many different kinds of soap to choose from, but I stuck with the one that was recommended and got the Green Tea one, the only kind they had there.
FOR MY HAIR:
It seems like I'm not going to be suffering the detox period, good. But then again it could also be that I've been using a sulfate-free shampoo/conditioner before trying this out. In the shower it lathered up and I washed it, after it was rinse it was very hard for me to brush my fingers through but not like that was a big deal. Well, after the shower my hair didn't dry within 10 minutes but not like that really mattered. My hair feels bouncier, and lighter though.
FOR MY TEETH:
I LOVE the way it made my teeth feel! You know when you glide your tongue over your teeth and it's just so smooth? That's the results I got, and I love that feeling. My mouth just felt so clean.
FOR MY BODY:
Squeaky clean, no kidding. I did use pure olive oil as a moisturizer afterward though, just in case my skin got dry, a big no-no.
FOR MY FACE:
Nothing much, just washed it with the bar. It felt really clean though.
I'll keep an update in case someone is interested.

But yeah, I just wash my face with water now and nothing else.
Sunscreen daily though however.
And I shower every other day
Oh and I would never use soap on hair, once I had no shampoo.. and.. it was just horrible

What do you do when you go to a salon? Do you not let them wash your hair?
If we do let them wash the hair, won't it be going back to stage 1 and we have to do the detox period all over again??

Obviously two weeks cannot make a conclusive result. I would probably have to follow this regime for over a year to make a conclusion about the regime. However:
1) At around five days into this routine, my skin broke out mildly and I got 3 pimples. I kept with the routine and the pimples disappeared quickly. One cause of this might have been that I was traveling and traveling usually makes me break out.
2) Using olive oil as a moisturizer has pretty much destroyed any hyperpigmentation problem left by acne. Usually, I get a zit, the zit goes away, and I'm left with a red/brown mark on my face for a couple of weeks afterwards. With olive oil (which contains vitamin E), my zits go away without leaving a trace: no enlarged pores, no nothing. I recently got a scab on my face as well and the olive oil has allowed it to heal without leaving any trace of hyperpigmentation. It's pretty amazing.
3) My skin is still a bit flaky and I have to exfoliate some areas in order for concealer to go on smoothly.
4) I can leave the house without make up and still feel like I have beautiful skin.
5) My skin is less oily.
6) My hair has become fine and silky smooth; however, it is prone to static electricity. This may just be the winter air.
7) I have a nice glow to my skin.
8) A good brushing can keep my mouth feeling fresh even when I've been drinking energy drinks all day.
9) I have no scent. Because my soap has no added scent, I wind up smelling like nothing haha. I use perfume to hide the weird hair-that-smells-like-nothing thing. It's a minor thing I'm still getting used to.
10) My eyelashes are long to the point that they could pass as fakes.
i must agree with all your results ive been using evOo for everything you mentioned as well. and its amazing what it does to the skin, hair and everything else.

I'm not the one lacking intelligence dear.

Brushing your teeth with soap? I mean, c'mon... Everyone knows that 90% of products out there, including toothpastes, don't keep their promises (or sometimes are harmful even), but there's plently of good toothpastes, even recommended by dentists etc. Same goes for shampoo. And it also depends on the person, some are sensitive to almost any product and get contra effects from using them, others can use most products and benefit from them without any negative effects.

she's not talking about any kind of soap. she's specifically talking about olive oil bar soap which doesn't contain all those "bad" ingredients that commercial soap contains.
about losing hair, i lost quite a lot of hair during the first two weeks, but now i only lose around 10 strands of hair after i get out of the shower. my hair is definitely getting softer by the day and i think it grew about half an inch since i started using olivias care soap (this is my 3rd week). my hair is still poofy after it dries, but when i wake up my hair is straight, except for the ends because my hair is right on my shoulders so it curls everywhere. my eyelashes also got a little longer and now it curls better too.
oh and i know i'm not the original poster, but everyone please read everything before you ask a question or post something. a lot of questions have been answered already and it's getting repetitive when someone asks it again.

I know but still, why would I use soap for my teeth instead of a good toothpaste? It's not like there aren't good ones... and I don't think that this special soap does anything to your teeth other than cleaning them, but what about the other factors such as strengthening the enamel or the gums. I don't believe that soap can replace a good toothpaste, but for shampoo or body wash that's another story.
