The thread and i can't find a solid answer.
Question:
How many times do you wash your hair during the detox phase?
Every day for a few times? Or every other day and a few scrubbings?
Thanks!

I am currently using Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Colavita. I found it in the grocery store in the oil cooking section.
The oil isn't oily compare to vegetable oil surprisingly but it is still oily.
I just apply to any dry areas such as my cheeks and not my forehead because my forehead gets oily. (combination skin)
I even apply it on my eyelashes, and it made my eyelashes longer. Beware to get it in your eyes though... it stings like hell...

Extra Virgin Olive Oil, I bought mines from Target (Target brand) for $5, I think.
You really have to let it absorb into your skin, then it's not that oily.
Remember less is more.

For me, I stuck to the routine I had before using soap [every other day]

I use extra virgin olive oil purchased from Oil & Vinegar. At some point, I'm going to make my own olive oil lotion, which is just olive oil, beeswax, and water + whatever fragrance you want + whatever extras like aloe vera or vitamin E, for my hands--or I'm considering making an olive oil-based lotion bar so I can carry it around and moisturize my hands (which are pretty dry all the time); it's basically like a bar of soap only it's lotion.

Thank you!
Do you think it's okay to wash it everyday and scrub/rinse it a few times?
Well until the detox stage is over?

I just brushed my teeth with the soap
...
..
.
Was weird!
Lol _ I first wet my brush [as it said] and brushed it on the soap for a couple seconds and then did my teeth
BUT it just felt like I was washing my teeth with nothing _ basically water
SO I wet my brush more and brushed the soap more so that it became suddier
AND then it felt like I was brushing my teeth with suds and paper
_
yup thats right PAPER!
It wasn't exactly unpleasant _ more reminscent of my childhood
But I then brushed for ONE MINUTE and spat and rinsed twice with water
I still have a paper aftertaste but my teeth feel clean and my breath _ well i shall see in the morning LOL
I shall keep you posted

well if that was what you're routine was before then I'd say yes. You should let your hair/scalp get used to the routine and decrease in its production of oils before decreasing the amount of times you wash your hair. Some people have done a vinegar rince to help get rid of the waxy hair feeling. I don't know if it works since I've never tried it, but I believe they did that once a week. Eunbit's post on the first page also tells of an oil she used for hair treatment to help her detoxing period.
I got my soap from Pure Soap Works too

I am going to start using it on my hair
But I was wondering is there any other oil to use for the hair?
I searched up the Japanese Cameillia oil but its expensive here
Could I use Olive Oil? like just normal olive oil from an organic store?
I found some other oil called hemp oil - would you recommnd that as well??

For me I keep massaging my scalp until I get this 'squeaky clean' kind of feeling between my fingers and scalp. Kinda like how you wash with soap and can feel the cleaness between your skin?

I went through that stage myself... The soap makes your hair feel super waxy and dry at the same time. It is even hard to run your fingers and comb through your hair esp after showering.
Even if you do comb after it is dry, it still gets tangly.
That's only a phase which people may experience. I guess you can say this is the detoxing phase since the soap is trying to get rid of the -cones, and using conditioner only make the detoxing phase last longer. I went through it myself. Now, only the ends of my hair is still a bit waxy because I used to use conditioner only on my ends.
If you like, you can use this method which I do.
You should try combing your hair before you shower because it's much easier to comb it.
1. Before shower, I would comb and split my hair into four sections. Two on the back, and two on top to side
(clipping each section into a bun rather than using a hair tie).
2. After that you just get in the shower and unclipped one section first and rinse it with water.
3. Glide the soap on the roots to the end and scrub your scalp to the ends of your hair. (Make sure you get around the hair line)
4. Rinse it off with water and repeat the process for each section. (Also remember, if the section is on the right, leave the section to the right and vice versa, as you clean other sections because cleaning the center of your scalp is difficult. This leaves an opening to help you rinse the middle part of your scalp)
5. I rinse all the section at once again by middle then left side and then right.
It may be a lot of work, but it helps you clean as much soap out
I usually leave the soap in about a minute each.
After doing this a month worth, my hair was starting to become less waxy. I started splitting it into 2 sections instead (splitting hair in the middle)
I hope this help and is clear. I have trouble explaining
