I just realized that I don't use deoderant at all.
Mainly because I'm lazy to go out and buy some.
But, I never thought it was necessary since I don't sweat that much and I'm not a sporty person.

Your water might be too hard.
rinse with a vinegar solution after you shampoo? pour like a teaspoon or tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a jug of water, and that should help with the dryness.

the acid will help to smooth your hair.

so i tried the soap only regime for 3 months and i'm back to shampoo. but i'm trying more gentler products like johnson and johnson's baby shampoo. it makes my hair so soft!

but i love using the all natural soaps. i've learned to use things with less 'stuff' in it and it's working out very well. i use my home mixed apple cider vinegar/water as a toner and it's amazing!

if i've been home all day, i'll always wash my face with cold water.
if i've been exposed to the outside air, i'll wash my face with the soap and cold water.
my skin has become a lot smoother and less oily, but now i have a problem with white heads- i guess i'll do some steaming then.

That product is still pretty new so I haven' try that out or else I would have tried it long ago haha

I use this:
http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores...1&langId=-1

It is moisturizing for my dry skin and smells nice too.
It smell like flowers?
I've been using it over 4 months and I didn't break out from it.

You can go to target, longs, ulta or other beauty stores.
They usually have testers to try it out.

I have a question-- do you use the same bar of soap for all three uses (washing body, hair, & brushing teeth)?
I feel that its a tad unsanitary even if soap in itself is basically the epitome of clean.. Is there a specific way you use the soap like rinsing the bar of soap AFTER you lather? Or do you lather, immediately put the soap away from waterspray, and use the soap for brushing your teeth later? Any specific method you use?

*sorry if this sounds ridiculous and pointless, I'm simply curious. :x*

I have a question about using the soap for teeth. So... after brushing your teeth with soap for a while, how are your teeth supposed to be? I've tried it out for a while, and my teeth are slightly yellowish. I know teeth are naturally a tad yellow, but it seems like my teeth are a bit more than slightly yellow. It kind of bothers me. is that how it's supposed to be when you brush your teeth with soap?

I have to shower everyday. once in a while when im too tired or drunk, i won't shower that day then.
And i have to wash my hair everyday, cuz it becomes greasy, or not necessarily greasy, but like.... dirty lookin.

Update
Its been about 10 months now, and I can say using organic soap does work. Like really, my hair is soft and healthy now, its also much thicker. I use to have a lot of dandruff when I first started but it seem to have gone away. I usually shower every other day. I can't go more than three days with out showing or my hair will look really greasy.
When I first started, it was really hard for my to keep it up. But now this is just what I do.
Even my skin looks a lot better. My friends have been telling me all the time how I don't have any acne anymore.

Gosh, thank you for warning me about Lush. I heard a lot of good things about Lush and was about to test out a lot of their products but now that I know that the things in the products are pretty harmful to you I'll think twice. I was wondering if anyone who used this regime and used make-up recommended any brand. Because I really love MAC and I was wondering what people using this regime thought about their items.

^^ Your articles were very informative. I think my skin has been so dependant on too many products that its ruining me. I've wasted alot of money and my skin still feels irritated and so-so. I'm interested to starting/ trying your regime of soap and water, but i don't exactly know how to begin...
should i just stop using all my products (ie my cleaners, toner, creams etc) and try basic water? ^^'' i'm afraid that my skin will dry out.

As for the body, do you use any body lotions or moisturizers??

^ For me I just completely stopped using all my skincare products and just used the soap.
and yes my skin dried out terribly and so did my hands. I rubbed some shea butter on the dry spots occasionally but mostly I just dealt with the dryness.

So a few months later (yeah it took a while but worth it!), my hands finally became soft and smooth and I don't have to rely on lotion AT ALL anymore.
It seems my skin finally balanced itself out though lol.

I do use coconut oil on my face (only face) though after I wash because it still gets dry from time to time T.T
coconut smells good : )

oh, I've been using soap and water for 9 months now.

very interesting.
may try this.

but.
what about eczema?
with the weather getting colder and all, eczema takes a drastic turn for the worst.
i've started using evening primose oil, which helps moisturise it to some degree, but will my skin become dependent on that too?

also..
how often do you shower/bathe now?
you could still shower 6/7 days a week right? and bathe 1/7?

^^'' i started the regime yesterday night...and so far my body and hands feel fine--a little dry-- but never the less, fine. However, my face feels rough (i think the side effects from Neutrogena wash >_>'') and my eczema is sorta breaking out. It was better than i expected, my face didn't total start shedding or anything but my complexion is mismatched, some parts are rough and some are soft...
I want to keep trying this regime but i'm afraid my skin texture will get worse...
You can live with the guilt, and I'll live with the despair...

I have a question.

If glycerin is bad, then wouldn't the recommended soap Olivia Care be bad? Since Olivia Care contains glycerin in their ingredients.
