Where do YOU get your car accessories?

I recently got a Toyota Corolla S.. *happy!* and I need all the basics, such as seat covers, floor covers, sun covers O_O Don't want to get it dirty!! (Paranoid about new things.)

I really want to find some places that sell quality things.. yet not overly priced..

Any suggestions? Thanks smile.gif

If quality is what you want... ebay is not your friend on this one. You should search online for some Toyota or even TRD parts sites. For example: http://www.toyotapartsstore.com/default.ph...82d8a788629af42

I'm not a Toyota person myself (even though we got one in the family), i'm sure someone can chime in here with ideas on sources of OEM toyota acessories. You're lucky that its a Toyota and not like my Volvo. Even accessories for my car cost way way more than their japanese counterparts. Even a simple rear window shade is $200+.

I haven't really bought any accessories for my car in a very long time, but I remember this site:

http://www.autodynamic.com/

and of course there is ebay. If you don't know the brands (or if none is listed) you might get some crap quality stuff. I've also found some things at my local Japanese supermarket, like a Broadway mirror

I love that thing. Great visibility.

+1 on the broadway mirror. Cause you'll never know what you did without one.

haha yeah isn't that the truth. I can't drive without one now.

How about some genuine Toyota accessories from eBay? I've seen some good genuine OEM stuff on there before.

No. But I angle mine towards the passenger side, so when I look at it I see through the rear window and passenger rear window.

Flat's good, but with a convex you get a wider view over flat with the same length mirror. But convex will make everything appear further than flat.

The convex one makes the image appear a bit distorted, so I like the flat one. Flat and wider mirror placed over the regular mirror, but shifted to the right, then angled (like Clix) towards the passenger side.

It eliminated my blind spots on the right, and for my left I just turn my head.

Yeah it is a bit weird to see my passengers in the rear, especially when you know them well yet make that eye contact. Awwwwwkwaaard hehe.

Isn't it possible to cover all of your blind spots using your regular mirrors? I have my mirror turned so that the right one is facing outwards, and the only part of my car I see is the rear corner, and almost the same with my left mirror, and the only tiny spot I cant cover is my left rear passenger door.

The best use of the side mirrors is not to be able to see any part of your own car. Some even say that the rear-view mirror should have no overlap with the side mirrors as well...

Yes, I do love the broadway mirror, but i can't have it on my own car as its too long and the use of sunvisor smacks it. Well at least I do remember to turn my head before making lane changes, etc. so i guess i'm ok.

LOL @ Garfield.

Broadway mirrors definitely seem nice.

Got another question pertaining to car accessories:
Does anyone know if there is anything out there that is like a LED display that shows the audio spectrum while playing music? Oh the lights smile.gif They make me warm and fuzzy inside. Or am I just making up things in my mind? lol.. I've seen ones with dolphins.. (might be something else.. but I can't seem to find much of them out there.) Thanks!

I've seen them in a couple of cars, they were battery powered and clipped on to one of the "fins" of the A/C vents. They just followed the bass of music and went up and down...looked like a toy you get from chinatown. It was pretty cool watching it match the music for like...the first 5 minutes though. Maybe you can find "real" ones somewhere! sweatingbullets.gif

As for me, all my group of friends hang their high school tassels on the rearview mirror (as a car accessory sorta thing).
It's going to stay hanging there until we get our college tassels! :]
