So i was planning to go out to some bars on new years eve with some of my friends and I asked my girlfriend to come and she agreed. But yesterday she told me she can't go anymore cuz she said her parents are making her go to church and that they're going to church with the whole family from 11-midnight or so. I was kinda disappointed that I can't spend new years with her cuz.. who will be there with me when the clock strikes twelve, but its not like i'm gonna be like no don't go to church with your family so i just told her ok you can go if you want. So I was wondering if anyone else goes to church on new years eve? I never heard of new years being a religious holiday. I just thought it was so weird.

i do. infact, i'm going at 4:30 later today haha. there's only two masses at my church for new year's day, and it's on new year's eve @ 4:30 or new year's day @ 9 AM. i go to the new year's eve one so we could just go straight and party later on and so we won't have to wake up early on new year's :P

Hahaha, you guys are funny. Of course we go to church on New Year's eve. No, it's not a "religious" thing either because not every church does this. We gather together and hang out. Celebrate 2009 together like you guys do at the bar.
