now i havent driven in the snow much, only the 2 snowstorms that's hit since i started driving.......but it doesnt seem like these tires are cutting it........there's barely 2 inches on the ground, and i'm turning, albeit slowly, trying to go up this incline, but it's not steep at all...
i wind up turning into the the opposite lane (it was late, no car was around thankfully) then i start slipping and sliding going up that little incline..........
just wondering if anyone here's got snow tires......am i better off getting snow tires and just switching them back and forth? or just get all season tires with a higher tread?

well in the EC it snows there here in texas when it snow it ices. the roads freeze up and the roads turn into ice.
you also warm up your tires by just driving for a while. like 10 to 15 min. then you could drive a little better. winter tires are only nessesary when there is no way to drive in the snow. when the roads here freeze up i take a extra time warming up the car and driving around my neighborhood for like like 5 min for the tires to get warm and a little up to temp.

What I meant was, when you move more north, there aren't places you can drive to even warm up your tires. You get stuck the moment you try to even leave your driveway. That is how it is here with the current 2ft of snow. Well it has melted down to half a feet but many people are still stuck cause it has frozen over.

oh then thats a different story. if your car has been in the drive way when it snowed then yeah you would be able to drive in it. i remember like 2 years ago when i went to NJ to visit family i had to drive my aunts car the morning after it snowed like crazy. i think they got a foot of snow but i managed to get out of the drive way and drive around the block and warm up my tires a bit then everything seemd to get better.
oh and like monr0e said you can invest in chains to.

no no never hit up dealerships unless you have to. they tend to overcharge people by alot.
well go any tire store like discount tire company's website and type in your car or you can go to any tire store and they will help you find the right size.

"Asians are fuking pussys. Im ashamed to be a part of you weak timid little race ...Maybe if asians were as awesome as me we wouldnt have so many racist things hurled at our people. If you didnt think like such a timid little slave maybe you wouldnt get racism 5 or 6 times a week like you say you do. " -CuriosityGguy I think like a timid little slave. That's why I put this on my signature.

195/65R15 - Stock size tire.
Is your car equipped with tire pressure monitoring system [TPMS]? If you do not know the answer, look in the owner's manual or call your local dealership.
