Hey Guys~
I'm not a hardcore working-out freak, but I've been occasionally been working out at home
I've been gunning only my biceps and pec's but I never seem to be able to work out my triceps x__x.. Any suggestions as to how I can upgrade my upper-body (in general: biceps, triceps AND pecs?)

I've been doing wide-arm push-ups, close-arm push-ups, wrist curls
I only have 2 dumbells LOL, a 20 pound and a 10 pound, I never use my 10 pound

I'm 18, 5'3, I weight.. 108 pounds..
Whats even more sad is that I BARELY have fat
Lots of people say I'm 'cut/defined' whatever you want to call me..

I think I don't eat enough, thats why my muscles wont get more pumped..
I work out till my muscles burn like hell, but then after, I rest a little, and I try working out again, but I'm just too lazy, so I work out again the next day.. My friends tell me, if my muscles hurt in the morning, let them rest, then after they stop hurting workout again.. but it seems recently I haven't been getting "muscle aches"...

Any suggestions?

hey daniel.
have you considered joining a gym.
there's only so much you can do at home.
but at the gym you can utilise all their equipment, and maybe ask for suggestions.

btw, you should workout every alternate day to give time for your muscles to rest and grow.

for muscle growth you should be doing less reps, but more weight.

I agree on going to the gym, you don't even have sufficient equipment.
Pick up a good workout routine for newbs like Madcow's 5x5 or Rippetoe's.
Also start eating 1g of protein per pound of body mass. So in your case at least 108g of
protein a day. Along with that you should have a surplus of 300-500 calories everyday.

Join a gym, lift hard, and eat a lot.

Everyone can go into specifics, but at the end of the day, those 3 basics are all that matter--put your time in at the gym and your hard work will yield results. Find a good routine split that works for you and keep up with it. Read up on T-Nation for some good info, too.

5'9" here and went from 135 to 170 after about a year and a half. Down to a much leaner 165 and working back up to 170 at my current BF%. Been lifting for a little over 2 years now, yikes!

Good luck and have fun, man

Your school gym is a good start and you don't have to make that big commitment of making payments to a gym.

Lifting shouldn't be an issue about not having time, though--try to make it a lifestyle and dedicate to making the time for it. Otherwise, you'll fall into the cycle of going off and on.

Starting with a friend is good. If you can, try and start out with someone that has been doing it for a while, so they can run you through the basics of form and gym etiquette. I'd have to say my biggest pet peeve at the gym is when people don't have proper gym etiquette. Having someone take you through the fundamentals will also help you progress a lot faster as well, since you won't have the burden of learning to do things the right way for your first 6 months.

You should work out in a school gym with friends.
You shouldn't over work too much or else you won't gain muscle.
