I seriously think if people don't want to be confused about love, then they should use another word or other words to describe how they feel. It just makes things so much simpler.

Loving someone is like loving them in a family way but being in love is being in love in a relationship way.

basically this.

i think that if you're in love with someone, you love them.
but if you love someone, you don't have to necessarily be in love with them.

it's like a "squares are always rectangles, but rectangles aren't always squares" type of thing.

and i agree with the whole loving someone is part of family/friends and being in love is more of a relationship thing.
Have a nice day!

To be in love = in a relationship with a significant other (bf, gf, wife, etc.)

Loving someone = caring for someone in a non-romantic way (best friend, sister, father, etc.)

to be in love : you fall in love, to love their traits, romantic as in youre past like but not exactly love. i love what you do etc.
to love: i love you. i love you not the idea of you, not your traits but you as a person. no matter what do you.

he was like..what does love mean?
and i was like...

love is when 2 ppl have a connection that nobody has and something like that...or
if u really love someone..you would let them go and if they come back, that means they love you back

I guess it means that "to love" means you just want to be in love just for the feeling.
(Which means that you can be in love with just about anybody as long as you feel happy)

To be in love with someone, means you're in love with that specific person.

Or atleast that's my take on it haha.

Love is like starcraft.
In these terms, you can be the player, or one of those fangirls for your favorite starleague player.

the only difference I can see is the use of being in and with in one of them.

definition: You love that person. full stop

I think to love is something you develop and to be in love with somebody is like a passive feeling, like love at first sight.

There's an 'In' in 'In love with someone' DUH!

Nah, too shallow.

"Loving" implies long relationships, and families and friends have been there for you since the beginning of time (for you, haha) so loving usually implies those people. It implies stable relationships that are lasting and your love is always an underlying (constant) feeling. You tend to act more rationally just loving someone. xD

"Being in love" can imply temporariness because what you can fall into, you can fall out of. It also implies brief time of irrationality because when you're 'in' love, your up to the top of your head in it. xP Figuratively speaking.

I agree with this.
If a guy confessed to me I would like him to say "Im In Love With You". It just sounds deeper. Stronger. More romantic.
I say to my friends "I Love You" all the time. So I dunno. I have heard guys say "I Love You" to me and I took it
as a friend love. And that is what was meant to be implied.
