its a common mistake a lot of students make, i've done that before due to new friends, etc etc. you just need to realize that when its time for school, then it should be about school, not friends or hanging out... try to limit yourself and realize that school is very important, although friends are also important..... consider this a phase, you aren't alone and a lot of students have gone through this.. about the letter, i wouldn't know to help, sorry

(Are you going to school full time?) Say you've been working full time in order to help your parents pay bills etc. And that you are a dedicated student that will put forth all your effort into passing the class etc.
Make sure it sounds good! lol
BTW, despite the appeal, make sure you don't fail the class a 3rd time. It is NOT good for you're GPA and you don't want a lame math class getting in your way.
Good luck!

Reality. It's so much more interesting than living happily ever after.

I would just tell the truth, it's better than lying. It wouldn't be good if they ask for proof and found out you weren't telling the truth. Most of the dean, counselor, staff should be very understanding since some of them went through the process. If they dont let you just take it at a community college or some other university. Make sure the course/credits transfer
