And do you think similar interests would make a relationship smoother than compared to the "opposites attract"?

one who sets a good example for myself.
idealy, he excercises on a regular basis (thats not much to ask for), has decent social skills, is polite** .
no interests in particular, as long as he isn't into drugs / smoking (major turn off for me) / addicted to alcohol / sex addict
i wouldn't go as far as saying "opposites attract", not total opposites. you need some balance~ some similiarities and some differences.

some differences would be nice so i can get to experience new things, i guess? rofl.
and that i can do the same for him.
complete opposites would make it difficult..
cuz we wouldn't really have any 'common ground'
sooo some big ones for me would be..
interest in anime/manga & video games XDD
and if we have the same taste and music
^ [isn't really difficult cuz i listen to basically everything o.o]
if he likes the same anime as me then... 8DDD! LOL.

I can look up to (literally AND figuratively)
can make me laugh until I cry.
is willing to laugh their ass off with me.
is affectionate & passionate.
has their own interests and hobbies to contribute.
can teach me new things
tries their hardest to not ignore me.
can tolerate me changing for the better, but still likes me for who I am.
the list goes on and on

The guy I like right now plays guitar and sings and we sing together all the time.
Like someone said earlier, there should be a balance.
There should be traits/skills/interests that are similar and there should be that support the partner's needs... (I don't know if that makes sense)
For example, the guy I like and I are both very Christian, both love music, we're both stubborn and blah blah blah, but he's more outgoing than I am when it comes to talking to strangers, and I'm not as forgetful as he is.
And just in case Shikabane Hime says something about me making a move, I did, he just likes someone else...

conversations without awkward silences, honesty (white lies are aightt),
excitement, spontaneity and passionate make outs every now and then. /rawr
-- oh oops, totally just answered the topic title and looked past the topic itself.
well, go to the gym with me, night swims, shop with me and not look dead while doing so lol,
oh and definitely cooking together, i think that's always a cute scenario between couples.
those are some things i enjoy doing, but whatever hobbies he has doesn't really matter to me,
haha we don't necessarily need the same hobbies to get along =P

I think a combination of sharing similarities and having differences is key in any relationship. Similarities will bring you together and your differences will keep you together. That is to say, if your differences aren't total polar opposites (

i.e. i'm on the shy/quiet side, so it would be nice if he were outgoing&adventurous.
Other than that.. it would be better if we shared common interests. like music and sports

And also to explore different areas and take pictures. I really like taking pictures, but I've never really taken pictures with someone before. Just for fun events and hang outs, but not like pictures with an artistic value to it? Idk. Haha. I've usually done that solo.
I've also always wanted to cook with an s/o. Anddd ice skating! And.. Random stuff like finger painting I don't knowww haha.
Just really simple things that two people in love can bond over.
And I think similar interests help, but isn't necessary for a smooth relationship.. I mean, lets face it, that can get pretty boring if you guys agree on EVERYTHING.
Having someone who doesn't agree with you or someone who doesn't have the same similarities as you can be fun because the things you do or the things he does can compel new things for one another! Lol I'm bad at wording things today, but you get my point.

1. i want him to be preferably asian, but if not, he has to be scenester hawt!
2. nerdy and goofy. i make a lot of lame puns and say random things because i don;t like awkward silences. i want him to say random things and make lame jokes too :]
3. smart. i don;t like talking to idiots
4. anime -__-
5. some sort of sport like cross country of tennis. i personally don;t like crazy muscular guys. i actually love super scrawny, skinny, guys that are just so thin that you can see all their muscle.
