David Kross (born July 4, 1990) in Bargteheide, Germany is a German actor.

Career
David Kross' first movie was Hilfe, ich bin ein Junge also known as Help, I'm a Boy! in 2002. He was the leading actor in Knallhart (2006). and Krabat (2008)

His most recent leading role is in the film The Reader, in which David Kross plays the role of a 15-year-old Michael Berg who falls in love with Hanna Schmitz in post-World War II Germany. Kross also plays the same role as a 22-year-old growing up university law student attending Hanna Schmitz' trial as well.

Although most of the actors in the film are well-known veterans, Kross, at 15, was relatively unknown, with only a small amount of knowledge of English. He had to learn the language to be able to act in a major role in this all English-language movie.

David Kross is acting in a new German film, Same Same But Different, to be shot in Cambodia.

This movie is a haunting movie . It will make you think with how you will deal with a person that you love dearly had an unforgivable past . How you deal with your inner self once you found out her secret . How can you forgive and how can you forget ?
I've seen this movie over the weekend and I left the movie with those questions . Davis Kross is such a good actor and he was so young .
I love the way he cried the first time when he had a quarrel with Hanna , the way he wiped off his tears and came back into her apartment to apologize and asked Hanna if she forgave him ans did she love him .Or when he saw her for the first time after many years absent, his shocks when he found out of her crimes and how he cried - yes , he cried openly and silently as he could not forgive Hanna and yet he loved her so much that he went through his life closed up with his secrets that nobody could pierce through .

Kate Winslet and David Kross are so good in their roles that somehow , I could not hate her character even though that her crimes was so hideous and could not be forgiven , and yet , if I look at another point as a love story then I would be able to ignore her past . The way how they spent time together in that summer , he read to her and I was shocked to find out her biggest secret later in the movie . I am glad that I did not read the bok first as I was stunned and realized why she loved to listen to his reading .

It is so bittersweet after 20 years , when Michael finally brought himself to see Hanna again and she still called him - kid - after all those years . It gave you such a heavy feelings when both of them facing each other and how akward it was for Michael as for years he kept his guilt , his love for her deeply in a corner of his heart and yet , when they finally met he still could not be free .Ralph Fiennes as always brilliant in whatever character he was in . His sad blue eyes and his small smiles and his touch said it all .

David Kross is so awesome with his boyish smile and his tears moved me .... I am so crazy about this young actor but since he is relatively new so there is not much info about him . Please share if you have any photos of him or about this movie as I do not know how to upload the photos .

I'm so looking forward to this. I happened to read a review for this book in Publishers Weekly before I knew it was getting made into a movie. I'll probably read the book before I watch the movie, but Kate Winslet can do no wrong. =P
