Interviews for a University/College in your Area

Does it look bad if you don't schedule an interview even if the college/university is only like, an hour or so away from where you live? Do they check?

Obviously, they know where you live. But it'll depend how much the school cares about interviews and what your chances are of getting in anyway.

ehh good question, but i'd say it wont tip the scale either way, but just schedule the interview, you have nothing to lose.

Depends on the school.. a lot of school will do alumni interviews, which might be less nervewracking? Some schools, like MIT, "highly recommend" an interview, while for other schools it might not be a big deal.
