So, i have a 2 hour and 50 min (almost 3) hr long lecture, and there isn't any plugs anywhere near I sit. For a lecture that long I prefer to type my notes instead of writing them. It's a large classroom but my prof prefers that we sit closer to the front.
The laptop I have is able to last about 1 1/2 hour (despite the little thing says 2 hrs) with having the A/C plugged in. I looked around for batteries for my laptop but I haven't seen any for the Acer Aspire 3680. So is there any other alternatives? Aside from buying a new laptop?
I don't remember if a question like this was asked before, but if it was can you guys link me and close this thread? thanks!

I searched on ebay and found this http://cgi.ebay.com/9-CELL-Battery-For-Ace...DefaultDomain_0
So I think its possible for you to find a larger battery as an option. That one is a 9 cell and if we base it on your 1.5 hours on your standard 6 cell (I am assuming), you should be able to get about 2 hr 15min on a 9 cell.
You can try to power save, like decrease brightness slow the cpu down..
And you can sit and sulk with me about apple's new 17" laptop which offers up to 9 hours of battery life. (Other laptops do have super lives thats just the newest)
