so i'm a freshman at a cc. Is it okay to skip winter session as in not taking any classes?
Is it going to affect me when I apply to colleges?
thanks.

Is your school a quarter system or semester? If it's a semester then winter session is just an option to get ahead, not required. If it's a quarter system then, I I think you can if you don't have time for it, skipping it just makes it take longer to transfer.

^^ Yeah
It doesn't matter, but if you're behind u should def. use the winter session to catch up but since you're 1st year shouldn't matter

why are you skipping it?
if you're looking to transfer to a uni, i think that they're going to wonder why you took off so much time.
if you had some family issues or money issues, that's something understandable, but if it's like "i was tired" or "i don't like winter", then they're going to wonder.

i thinkk skipping winter is fine~
But if you like take a whole spring or fall off..then maybe yeah..they would be wondering..but
winter i believe is not such a big deal..
Besides some colleges offer very limited winter intersession classes..so..yeah

IMO, not taking class in winter session is the best idea. There are only 4 weeks in winter session, you have to cram everything in 4 weeks. Not that affective.
Skipping it is totally fine. Just relax till your spring semester comes. I never took any class in winter session when I was at a cc.
When you apply to university, they don't care when you take your classes. They just pay attention to your grades.
