i had to recover my computer because i had a virus so after, my media player
went back to the one where in 2003 and the update pop up will not come out

so i was wondering how i can update mine and let them give me a notice on new ones

You can go and download the Windows Media Player 11 at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...d/download.aspx
You need to have a Genuine Windows XP [with sp2] to install it

For the update pop ups it is under Tools>Options and you will see Automatic Updates
