HELLOOOO
This is my first time ever posting in the food section. lmao
anyway.
My boyfriend and I started food eating contest cause its fun and Im very competitive.
So far we ate homemade tacos and california rolls.
Im planning on also having a pizza, taco bell, white castle, and mandoo eating contests.
Do anyone have any other food ideas that we can do?
Oh boy we're gonna get fat.
ALSOOO
Well, me and my friend one time bought EVERYTHING on the taco bell menu.
And it was really sad cause I only got to eat 8 soft tacos and didnt even get to the burritos, which I LOVEE. lmao.
We just gave them away to another taco-loving friend.
Another time was when me and my bf ate HOME-MADE tacos.
He won only cause he ate more and there were no more sad.gif

Did any of you guys had a food eating contest as well?
Wanna share?

There's a huge food contest in North Carolina, at North Carolina State University, called the Krispy Kreme Challenge... I'm on one of the set up committees this year, and ran it last year.

This is what contestants do:

1.) Sign up (around $15-$25 depending on corporate donations)
2.) Show up at the NCSU Bell Tower before 10am and complete day of registration (3000 last year, hopefully 5000 this year) and get your spiffy KKC t-shirt
3.) Get ready behind the start line
4.) Run 2.1 miles to Krispy Kreme Donuts store
5.) Eat a whole dozen donuts
6.) Run back the 2.1 miles (it's uphill on the way back)
7.) Try to reach the Bell Tower before 1 hour is up!

The record is 24 minutes and 32 seconds... I'm proud of my 44 minutes and some change! The extra money we make is donated to a children's hospital. Last year we donated $20,000, hopefully even more this year!

Everything I've read (online) about eating competitions were about contestants who suffered disastrous consequences.

Just make sure you keep this in mind before you decide on doing things like this.

We actually have to have people sign a "death waiver" of sorts... if they go into it and are out of shape, and have cardiac arrest, it's not our fault =/ But there hasn't been a single health issue in Krispy Kreme Challenge ever, except for sprained ankles / road burn from people falling, but that's not really due to the food... unless they were going for the bushes to let some donuts loose, lol

Oh no no no.
See, we're not like timing ourselves like an actual contest.
We're taking as long as we want.
We just want to see who can eat more.
Thanks for your concern though smile.gif

Haha, I do that all the time with my friends..! It's never something that I could personally win in though sweatingbullets.gif
Last time did that, there were about ~8 people, and we all met up at an all-you-can-eat buffet and did it there~
Rather than timing everyone since we all ate at a different pace, we had certain food rounds, like "protein plate", "soup round", "fried plate", "dessert plate" and stuff like that. In the end, it was the smallest person there who won against everyone, haha
