What do you want? A gaming device or music? (though you can get music on a psp and ds)

you're gonna get the most bang for the buck with a ds or a psp as they are both hackable.

if you are on the internet a lot, you might want to drop more money for an iphone.

however, if u are looking for a portable device that will let you play video games, watch movies, listen to music, etc - i would def. get a ds or psp. i have a ds myself. you buy a ds lite, an m3ds real and basically you will never have to pay for DS games ever again.

along with that you can watch full movies on your ds and listen to music and view images, and also run homebrews as well - (via a mini SD) - just google m3 ds real.

my friends have psps that they've hacked. you can only hack fat psps, and the psp slim (psp 2000), the newest model cannot be hacked... yet

either way, you will never have to pay for games again with the psp route - while being able to enjoy music, movies, homebrews (apps), etc

i got all 3

I would get the following based on these priorities --

Games and Movies = PSP

Internet and Movies = ipod touch

Games = DS

PSP is a waste of money.

If you prefer games over digital media, buy a DSlite.
If you prefer digital media over playing games, buy an iPod Touch.

In terms of overall "bang for your buck" I would say iPod Touch is the clear winner because it can do a lot of things well.

also note that the psp is dying out they are saying they are having big decreases in sales of the unit, so go for the DS

new DS model is coming out soon too, so look out for that!
Although I would still go for DS lite, they got rid of too many things in the new model (like gameboy cartridge acceptor, lower battery power, etc)

It's 12 percent thinner than DS lite though from what i hear?
QUOTE
The Nintendo DSi is about 12% thinner (2.6 mm) than the Nintendo DS Lite.[6][10] The new handheld has two VGA (0.3 megapixel)[6][11] digital cameras; one on the internal hinge pointed towards the user and the second one in the outer shell.[12][13][14][15] It also has larger screens (3.25 inches, instead of the previous 3 inches) and improved speakers.[6] The power switch has been replaced with a power button, as the original DS had, now located next to the bottom left side of the touchscreen. The DSi has five brightness settings compared to the DS Lite's four; however, battery life is reduced to 14 hours on the lowest brightness setting compared to the 19 hours of its predecessor.[16] The internal rechargeable battery can still be replaced by the user at the end of its useful life of (typically) several hundred charge/discharge cycles.
A new SD card slot is used for external storage of pictures and downloaded software and to play AAC audio.[6] The front slot for Game Boy Advance (GBA) cartridges has been removed,[6] thus removing the unit's backward compatibility and its compatibility with accessories that require the GBA slot, such as the Nintendo DS Rumble Pak; as well as the Guitar Hero: On Tour and Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades grip, which is essential for those games. The removal of backward compatibility also prevents games such as Pokémon Diamond and Pearl from accessing saved data stored on GBA cartridges. The DSi has 256 MB of internal flash memory.[17] Photos taken using the DSi can be synced to the Wii's Photo Channel.[6][18]
Similar to its competitor, the PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo's own Wii console, the DSi has upgradable firmware; a first for a Nintendo handheld system. All existing flash cards for the Nintendo DS and DS Lite are incompatible with the DSi,[19] but DSi compatible flashcards are now being produced - the first one was created by Acekard.[20] Whether they are locked out by future firmware updates remains to be seen.
It has been reported that the DSi uses region locking for DSi-specific software, since it provides Internet services tailored individually for each region,[21] but the DSi itself does not have region lock-outs, so Nintendo DS games from any region can be played.[22] In addition, the DSi uses rating-based parental controls, which differ by country. The WPA and WPA2 support is not backward compatible with original DS games. Only DSi services can use WPA.[23]

I have all three.

I use my PSP the less. Whenever I want to watch a Movie on the go I use it. I have a few games, but, I find myself using it a lot less.
I use my DS second most. I usually just play some light games on it. That's all tongue.gif.
I use my iPod Touch the most. Videos, Music, basic games, internet, e-mail, contacts, daily planner etc. I use it a lot.

I have a PSP ... but I don't even touch it anymore >.>
I'm planning on getting an iPod Touch sometime soon.
I agree with Privodevat =\ the PSP was a waste of money lolol
If you want something for gaming..I'd say go for the DS..it seems like there's more games than the PSP imo =T

As far as utility goes, the iPod Touch is where it's at. I have the 32GB version and I can honestly say I use it everyday. Here's my post about which applications I have (They're all free).

I had a PSP and the only reason I got it was for Tekken: Dark Resurrection (I'm a hardcore Tekken nut). Other then that the PSP wasn't all that great. Yeah you could play videos and stuff, but it always seemed to cumbersome to transfer the stuff over. My iPod Touch... it just works.

I have a DS also.. I must admit they got some clever stuff for it. I loved harvest moon. The game I played the most was Tetris. I loved playing online. I'd get so into it. Like "Whoa" into it. Haha just imagine walking into your living room seeing some guy screaming into his Nintendo DS saying, "What's up japanese?! You ain't the real Tetris master! I am! What?! How you like them blocks!!!" T_T Yeah.. I was that guy... I had to retire for being made fun of so much over it.

We had a psp but never touched it. I don't see any psp games and think "I have to play this!".. I have a DS lite and I play this a lot more. Personally, I wouldn't want my games, phone, and camera on one device. I love my DS. Another thing about PSP is that you should invest in a really good sturdy case. Otherwise, if you drop it, chances are it's gonna break. At very least, it'll crack the screen. When I was working at a game store we had broken PSPs piled up and maybe like 2 DS.

I hate ipods. Period. I had a very bad experience with them when it first came out and never went back. Got my Creative Zen Vision W instead. It's still working great.

I'd say
PSP for their graphics
Nintendo DS LITE for their fun and awesome games ( so so graphics )

Ipod touch gets over ruled by the PSP and NDS LITE because:
both PSP and NDS LITE can play mp3

The iPod touch has apple apps store which has fun and useful
applications (:

I have a PSP and I love it <3

although I certainly enjoy the graphics on the PSP much more... with its larger screen and better 3d engine... my DS gets far more play time.
For me at least, there's fewer "must play" games on the PSP than on the DS. In addition, I often use my DS for Japanese language stuff like searching for chinese characters and stuff that requires writing on the screen.

As much as i love my NDSlite, it's getting boring, there's not enough violent games to take my anger out on.
so I'm hankering after a PSP for the moment.
