Would You Date A Celebrity? If you had the choice?

Chances are thin but it's not impossible. So, would you date a star if you had the chance? Despite their fame, popularity, money, etc. I mean, we all know fan girls aren't very friendly when it comes to their idols. But would you consider being in a relationship with someone who is idolized by many and undertake all the pressure that comes with dating them?

** on the side note; I read somewhere where some stars (example; Jaejoong [DBSK]) prefer to date fan girls/non-celebrities? Does anyone have an idea why?

If I had the chance, I probably wouldn't. Having to deal with like the fan-girls >_>, I don't think I'd be able to handle it.

While it makes up for good daydreaming, probably not. Fangirls aside, there is still the whole persona thing. Sure they may be extremely good looking than the average joe but you cannot depend on physical attraction either. Plus what they probably show the public is nothing but a conjured image their management wants them to show. They are probably a lot different in real life and I don't see myself dating them because I probably would have formed an expectation from them. Not that I would not accept their flaws, but it would be better to fall in love with someone just because you naturally did and not for such reasons. For me, falling in love would mean you would be committed to prepare for the best and worst to come together with that special someone you chose. To sum it up, given the choice I would date a celebrity I don't know but not one I am familiar with because of the reasons stated. I love my idols, but I would honestly prefer to just keep it at that and nothing more. ROFL.

Dating non celebrities would mean that your girlfriend isn't widely spoken about, talked about, touched about and seen about. Ironically, it would also mean that you wouldn't have to share your girlfriend with the world, and that they are safely to themselves.

As much as people would want to date celebrities, the balance in between the emotions would be at higher levels. Fear, jealousy, loneliness would be the main emotions mostly because of fan girls, media pressure, little time spent together etc etc. The image of the star would also be a different story, and the will to always having to give way and accept disappointment. It'll take someone with a big heart to endure and accept such torturing.

Hmmm, i don't think i would, because you have people watching when you like step outside your house most of the time and i prob would get paranoid and i don't really like having all that attention. >__<
and you would have to watch what you do and wear and whatever since people will prob start blabbing on about it or something .
So, i would rather just have my personal life where i can do whatever i want whenever XD

As long as I have the same attraction to him as I normally would to any guy and he kept our relationship private, then yes.

It would depend on the guy in question...
If the guy was worth all the trouble, if it was worth the (somewhat) long distance while he's on tour or performing around the country, if he was worth the multiple death threats...

of course i would

i even arranged a list of girls ill date

starting with

-hyori
-chae yeon
-taeyeon
-bae seul gi
-sunye
-tiffany
-jessica
-son dambi

hmm thats all i can think of right now

but im sure the list is longer

if i was ever gay

ill date..

-gdragon
-top
-taeyang
-jaejoong

but im not...

and to answer your question

no DUH jae joong would say he would date fan girls, thats how he keep fan girls around and remain famous

if he said he would only date celeb, i doubt any girls would believe they still have a shot with him and just give up

I don't care if it's a celebrity or not. If I know the artist good and his personality and I have feelings for him. Nothing is going to stop me. But JUST date him because he's celebrity I don't think so that's not cool. It's okay to keep the relationship private than.. that I don't mind. As long as I know we can get through any hardship together.

There is a rise in stars dating people who aren't in the business.
The reason why I think some stars want normal people because they aren't corrupted with the system of the ent. business and
they can come back to the person who loves them for them, not for their fame (it depends though, some girls may go for the fame).
But then again, most of the time it ends up in failure.

Though I remember the Kaneshiro Takeshi flat out saying he isn't attracted to models or any celeb, only normal girls who aren't in the spotlight.
Probably cause that guy is a really private guy.

But personally, no. Their lifestyle, their mindset, and how they have lived out their life is too different.
And plus, I hear those celebs cheating often so...its hard to keep track and trust them as well.

Only if I know we will both fully commit to each other, and are truly in love with each other.
If not, no I wont.

I might be interested in a celebrity who isn't popular in the mainstream circles for his or her looks. For example, Edward Norton is a splendid actor whose experiences in acting have probably added a lot of depth to his character. I think Leonardo DiCaprio has also done a lot of really risky roles (though he's best known for Titanic, unfortunately) throughout his career, including his performance as Arthur Rimaud who is one of my favorite French poets. Ryuhei Matsuda might be another fun person to date--maybe he can tell me what his movie Big Bang Love was finally about hahaha.

Yeah sure why not? I mean, if we both liked each other, then a celebrity would slowly just become a human to me, and not some huge, unreachable star.

Mmm, it really all depends on the situation haha.
Though in general I wouldn't be interested.
