Drawing Blood by Poppy Z. Brite. Equisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Brite. I warn you though, she has a lot of sex in her books. Gay sex.

Also, STEPHEN KING IS AWESOME. Did you read IT? That's my favorite by him.

I also recommend IT if you haven't read it, and Bag of Bones also... His Dark Tower series was pretty good too, though I don't think it counts as horror.

I'm not exactly sure what type of Horror novels you like so I'll just list a few of my favorites:

Witching Hour - Anne Rice (the first out of three books in the Mayfair series, but the first is the best)
Vampire Chronicles - Anne Rice (pretty much the only vampire novels besides Dracula that I can stand; I've read plenty of others and none of them come close to Rice's Chronicles, though the books after Blood and Gold were disappointing)
House of Leaves - Mark Z. Danielewski (creepy/odd/freaky book. Can't say that I actually liked the book but it was definitely an interesting read...)
Frankenstein - Mary Shelley (a classic, fell in love with it in middle school)
Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
Dracula - Bram Stoker
The Yellow Wallpaper - Charlotte Perkins Gilman (it's a short story but it's another favorite of mine, I highly recommend it)
Voodoo Dreams - Jewell Parker Rhodes (not sure if this counts as horror but it's a good book, nonetheless)
Tell-Tale Heart, Fall of the House of Usher - Edgar Allen Poe (two of my favorite short stories. you've probably read a few of his works in middle or high school but if you haven't, I highly recommend you go buy a collection of his short stories/poems)
The Phantom of the Opera - Gaston Leroux (if you're wondering, the musical and the book are very different)

hope you like some of these books.

My friend reads Ted Dekker stuffs and he told me once when he reads them, he usualy makes sure someone is home with him haha
They are actually more murder/detective type of novels. However, they are worth it!
