When you see ppl eating korean food (sam gyup sal, karbi, dukbokgee, soon dae, woo dong.... U NAME IT) in korean dramas, you suddenly get REALLLY hungry? But you can't get it anywhere because you DONT LIVE IN KOREA. In my case, my city is small so THERE IS NO KOREAN RESTAURANTS HERE! I have to drive at least 3 hours.

OMGGG I was watching My Girl (again) and i saw the sam gyup sal scene with gong chan and yoorin and i just went balistic. i was studying anatomy, and i was suddenly drooling all over it. There was this dukbokgee, woodong, kimbab scene in this 'pojang macha' place in My Girl.......... with SOJU OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

And in desperation i tried googling korean food and WOW.. i am insane right now. i miss choonchun dakgalbi!

Anyone else?

I mean I love living in Canada but SOMETIMES..... I do wish I were back in Korea FOR ALL THOSE FOOD MAN! Only if I lived in Toronto!

ahaha, i know what you mean. and my city is TINY so we don't have any korean restuarants or markets at all.
the only one that was ever around closed down because it lacked customers. bleh.
and same here! my family has to drive to another city to buy loads of korean groceries and eat at a decent place.
but really, i don't have to go all the way to korea to eat korean food; i just ask my mom to make me whatever it is i'm craving, haha. ;p
my family wants to move to LA near koreatown in the near future; my parents always complain about the lack of korean culture here.
if it weren't for business, we'd be GONE. hahaha.

I guess I'm lucky, there's three places to get Korean food near my house, a Korean food market, and a bigger general Asian food market. The Soondubu Gip is soooo good! The restaurants are like 20 min. away, but I always have a stocked fridge, it's nice to be able to cook Korean food whenever I'm craving it; which is essentially every day. Actually... I've eaten Korean food every day this week...

SORRY! That's probably not helping >.< But I do get sad when I'm at home with my parents, there's nowhere to get Korean food near them, and every time I see something even similar I about lose it

I don't like Korean restaurant foods eh. I prefer good ol' home cooking. It just doesn't taste the same as 'mum's'. But I get the same reaction when I see my parents watching Korean shows, or even when I chat to my cousins in Korea. I haven't had wang-man-du for so long, and even thinking and typing about it makes me want to just go to Korea and get one... since making it is not the same.

Do you guys get the opposite reaction though? Sometimes you've had so much Korean food in a week or what not, that you just want to get away from that stuff?
