does anyone have any good recommendations?
i googled...and a couple places popped up..but i would feel more comfortable if someone told me of their experience in a certain program.
ive heard horror stories of some -__-"

the ones im looking for, are the ones that you spend a year or so in the country and teach english
not the ones associated with study exchanges/university

China has a wider range of jobs you can do with just a BA, from public schools to private academies to universites; in China both the salaries and the cost of living will be a lot lower. In Taiwan, unless you have a certificate in elementary or secondary education, or an MA in a relevant field, about the only teaching jobs you can get are at private language academies; in Taiwan both the salaries and cost of living are a lot higher.
